I'll bet that most of the aftermarket exhuasts for the current 1300's could fit on the Fury with some custom made brackets, someone will probably try it before the aftermarket comes out with any.

You can't say that. You might as well guess that any pipe from any bike as long as it is a twin, will fit with a bracket. The exhaust ports could be angled different or spaced apart different, the footpegs might be in a different position and likely are as it is a new frame, the rear bracket is the least of your worries. ;)

I was also thinking about pipes also the fuel injection would have to be remapped also. That could be a bigger issue than a bracket.

That's the best thing about FI... the ECM will adjust itself for after market pipes along with most airbox mods too.
Granted if you go crazy, open pipes etc. a Power Commander would be prolly be needed, but after market pipes, K&N Air Filter... the FI ECM will compensate for it.

actually with FI it will need a provision for an O2 sensor

On the 1800 the only bikes that had o2 sensors were California models. I don't know if all models of this bike will have o2 sensors or not.

An oxygen sensor is easily retrofitted in a exhaust pipe, and I highly doubt they changed the angle of the heads, and remapping may not be required. There has been many 1800 guys on the board that have have changed exhuast and not upgraded their electronics, so yes I can say that. The only thing that would be a problem is if they did change the angle of the heads, and why would they do that, it would cost more money to make a different head than to just use the one they have been using for years, The foot peg mount could be made to work if it indeed was in the way. Some fabrication is all that is required. The only thing stopping someone from doing it is the drive to do so. There is too many people looking at the glass half empty than half full on this thing. If I got a Fury, I would not wait for the aftermarket for a year to play catchup when I could spend a weekend in my shop and retrofit something myself. Wrench up and do it yourself instead of waiting for someone else to do it.:banghead:
