Rolla Rally

Just curious how that Rolla Rally went this year, with all the rain,Anybody go?

I took the wife to the Rolla Rally. We both took a vacation day Friday and drove down to Sedalia to meet up with the ride coming through, with plans to ride with them to Columbia and then turn south to Rolla. There were two Columbia MC Police people that had came to meet them to escort them to Columbia. Frankly, they left us in the dust. I heard later they were doing 90 on I-70.

When we checked into the hotel in Rolla, I picked up a flier about the rally and noted they accepted plastic at the gate. Cool, because I don't carry much cash on purpose. When we got to the gate they told us they were not set up to take plastic. Well, I was a little pi$$ed and we turned around and left.

We got up the next morning and looked at the weather on the tv and decided to head home. We have rain gear, but it rained on us all the way home.

The next event we are planning to attend is Blues Bikes and BBQ in Fayetteville, AR in October.

Sorry you guys had a bad experience at the Rolla Rally.

The weather was definitely a big factor - it sucked.

Several vendors pulled out by mid-day on Saturday.

Too bad we didn't have weather like Mon, Tues & Wed........absolutely gorgeous......October in July weather.

This was only the 3rd Rally in Rolla.......yeah.....it still needs some work....hopefully it will get better.....the bands both nights were actually pretty good!
