Just picked up my first VTX last Friday (1/23/09)! Use to own an 800 Suzuki. Can't wait till it warms up and stuff starts to melt. Was -18 yesterday......this sucks.....27 is the forecast for Saturday though......getting better!

Hi Schmaltzy,
I didn't even welcome you to the ND board. That wasn't polite of me.
So - welcome to the ND board. You have a great looking bike. Bet you can't wait to ride. It's time to get out the credit card so you can buy more chrome and other goodies for your new ride. I've been busy adding to mine. My pic was taken when I first bought it last summer. Have been adding things this winter. I'll have to post a new pic soon.
I see were only 80 miles apart. My kids went to school at UND. I'm a big Sioux hockey fan.
Have a good one and keep posting comments.

Welcome. Hope to see you ridin around town this Summer. Of course that'll be after I get back from Turkey in May. Maybe the snow will be gone by then anyways.

Your not missing much. It starting raining last Monday night (2/9) and is still raining this morning (2/10). Everything was super icy! My wife teaches out on the base and could only drive around 30-40 mph to get out there yesterday. Said there were a lot of cars in the ditch and a bus on base tipped over. Worst part is, we're suppose to get snow tonight with the lower temps....I'm just going to skate to work tomorrow!!!!

Hi Schmaltzy,
What you mean you're skating to work. Skating is for ice rinks. Just put chains on you're new ride and your set to go. :yikes:
Have a good one and stay safe.

Ride On
