During the July 10 Get Together at Trappe, Charlie suggested meeting for our next trip in Bucks County at the Custom Bike Shop (formerly Indian shop) at noon on August 14. Someone mentioned it's on Route 611?? I remember driving past the shop but I thought it was on Route 100 near Bechtelsville?? Any updates on that, Iron Butt, or anyone else?

The CUSTOM BIKE shop (mostly TITAN) is on Rt611 south of DURHAM Road. It will be on the right hand side going south from DURHAM road.

Good Morning!

I know I was the one that suggested the Bucks County ride...but on 8/14, I'll be in Sea Isle City on vacation. (that is good...yet bad.) Above is the link for the bike shop that I mentioned. They actually have been in the process of moving from New Hope (currently not a "biker friendly" place) to the 611/Plumsteadville location. They're trying to turn it into a destination place...like Mike's HD. There are 5 or more places within 5 miles to have lunch...south of the dealership. Lots of bikes travel that corridor. If you go 611N, you can cut through Nockamixon State Park, hook up to 32S and take it along the river. It's really beautiful along there. You follow 32S to 263S (@ Dilly's corner...get some ice cream) right on to 263S, it merges with 202S...follow that to 413N. Stay on 413N until it intersects with 611 again and you are right back at Bucks County Custom Cycles. It's a nice ride.

I wish I was going with you guys...

Hey Charley and all - I'm not gonna be able to make this one either even though it's the closest one yet to where I live :x . That's the weekend my wife gets to go to the shore without me and without the kids. I'll be watching the kids instead. Might even feed them too.

Sorry I'll miss it but she certainly deserves the break and for the most part lets me out the other 51 weekends a year so I can't complain.

Have a safe ride!

Well, as long as the weather is as good as the last 2 Greets, I'm in for Aug 14. Anyone else?

Even though I can't make it on the 14th I just wanted you all to know that I was out riding today and stopped in at Bucks Custom Shop. One word...amazing! You have got to see these bikes. They had quite a few different makes and models. There was one I definitely wanted but didn't bring my spare $30,000 with me. I'll have to remember it for next time.

I think it's well worth the trip. It looks as though they are expanding the show room but still had about a dozen bikes. Sit on a chopper or a pro-street and then go home and figure out which of your kids probably won't need college money anyhow so you can buy one!

Hope you all have a great ride on the 14th!

The ride you outlined in your post ("If you go 611N, you can cut through Nockamixon State Park, hook up to 32S and take it along the river. It's really beautiful along there. You follow 32S to 263S (@ Dilly's corner...get some ice cream) right on to 263S, it merges with 202S...follow that to 413N. Stay on 413N until it intersects with 611 again and you are right back at Bucks County Custom Cycles.") is about 45 miles long by my map. Should take between 1 and 1.5 hours, depending on traffic, etc. Thanks for the tips, it DOES seem like a nice ride. We'll play it by ear once we meet at the bike shop. Looking at their web site, it sounds like we could spend at least 1 or 2 hours there! It will probably take me about 2 hours to get up to Pipersville (it's 90 miles) via the following routes: Route 10N to Route 23E to Route 100N to Moyer Rd to 663E to 313/563E to 611N. Charley, any problems you see with my route up there?
Thanks for checking the place out, Bill...we'll miss you on the 14th. Hey Ragman and Capt. Gus, you guys are mysteriously quiet.....Did you leave somethin' at Solomon's???

Hey all - sorry I've got to miss this one. My daughter is graduating from her internship in TX and I'm scheduled to fly in for the graduation. Sorry about that - especially after GreenVTX's description - sounds like it would be a great place to see.

I'm going to miss Herr's too, I've got a business trip I've got to take - major bummer!

Hey Steve!

I'm here! I've been busy at work, with night shift and overtime. I'm sure Ragman has been busy as well. I should be able to make the lunch date AND Herr's Night, as long as the weather is good.

OK...

Today is the 10th. This Saturday is the 14th. It's supposed to be a really nice day. Who's coming?? Do we have good directions? This subject has been quiet for a long while.

I'm in. Weather is supposed to be good, too (as if anyone can predict 5 days in advance!!).
I plan to leave my place at about 10:00 (You comin', Ragman??). My planned route is the same as I previously stated:
Route 10N to Route 23E to Route 100N to Moyer Rd to 663E to 313/563E to 611N.

I may modify the first leg a little, and take Route 82 north to 23....not yet sure yet. Anyway, plan to be at Pipersville by Noon.

Anyone else need directions or help?

So, by my count we only have 5 bikes coming??

Are we meeting at Bucks Co. Custom Cycles? This is the place? That's almost in New Hope.

Yup...that's the place. Their web site says they moved from New Hope (good thing!!).

"ONLY 5" ?!?!? Heck, I'll ride up if it's only TWO of us! Sounds like a neat place, and the high temp Saturday is only supposed to be in the hi 70's, just like this past weekend....SWEET!

John, I'll call you on the phone Friday night after I return from Cooperstown.

are you going to the place that is closed near New Hope or the new place? I am trying to get a group together to be there maybe 4 or 5 bikes.

Cliff,

The Pipersville address is the one currently listed on their website. So, I assume that's the place. That's where I'm headed. I want to see bikes! I've always liked the Bourget and Vengeance bikes.

See you then.

Steve,

I agree with you. I simply mispoke. That wasn't the point that I was trying to make. I'll meet a buddy anywhere for lunch or a nice ride. Besides, I've been meaning to check out this Bucks Co. Custom Cycles. I was just hoping for more involvement.

Steve,

Now the weather geniuses are predicting a rainout on Saturday, too. I'll play it by ear. If it does rain, maybe we can get together somewhere on Sunday. That cycle shop is probably closed (why are only H-D dealers open on Sundays?). Or, Planet Honda is having a ride on Sunday.

I agree....if it's raining or seriously threatening to rain, the meet is cancelled....no use putting any one in harm's way. There are plenty of SUN days left this year for ENJOYABLE rides (rain HURTS when it hits!!).
Let's hope the weather is good on Saturday.

if and when you have a ride together and we have some good weather you can count me in. :D

WAIT!!

HOLD YOUR HORSES!!

The weather Gods (or Ghouls) may be feeling sorry for us VTX'ers, and giving us a reprieve!

So far, they are calling for only a 20% chance of rain for Saturday. If even one rider wants to meet up on Saturday, then I'm ready to go.

Who's with me? Let us know.

Gus,
MY son wants me to help him move some furniture from KOP to Glenolden first thing Sat morning. I would still like to ride on Sat but wouldn't be able to go till about 1130.
