Havana Cafe Sunday 2/1

Since I cancelled Saturday's ride. Who's in to go to Havana Cafe Sunday. It should be warmer than Saturday and you'll be back in time to watch the Super Bowl.
Meet at Holiday Park at 9:00 kicks up at 9:30, you all know the routine. Quick stop at Dade Corners. We'll see how things go and maybe continue on 29 and take the long way home.

hope I will be home then. If I am I will take the ride with you. How worried should I be with a vertical tag mount. I need to order a new mount. Found one in pompano on ebay. Has my tag and brake light together. Looking forward to meeting up.

If it was me, it wouldn't keep me from riding. Actually we very rarely see a cop on the route to Everglades City.

I,m hoping to make it Ralph. I've been feeling a little better every day and I really hated to miss the ride to Lake Worth. I'm going crazy staying at home and need to get out.
On a different note, wait till you hear this. I got a call yesterday from a friend of my brother in MA. His name is Mike and he rides a wing. I've met him several times when visiting my brother and he rode with Gerry and I in the Carolinas and Tennessee last year. Turns out he's on a two week layoff from work and was going to come to FL. I offered to pick him up at the airport but he said he was going to ride down on the wing. He's leaving Monday. Now that's hard core. I see rides down here get canceled on a 50% rain chance.

Everglades "Holiday Park" is at the west end of Griffin Road, west of 27. Keep going on that road, it winds around then opens up to a parking lot. You'll recognize my bike from the pic below.

I never mentioned the tennis courts, because they are tucked behind the basketball courts, swimming pool and cabana bar. :lol::lol::lol: Oh did I mention the bocci ball courts also?

Very sorry if we left without you, it was not intentional.

That's why it's always good to post here if anyone is going for the ride. If anyone is on the fence about going for a ride, a post the night before that you are definitely going is a good idea. If someone hasn't showed that is going, we probably will wait a little bit(not long) for them. Hence the "kicks up" time. If we have the group that posted present, we are gone before the kick's up time.

We had a great day riding, it was a little chilly 1st thing in the morning but warmed up quickly. The weather was perfect for riding. The threat of cold also seemed to keep alot of people home. Roads were nice and quiet. We saw alot of big gators and even saw 2 deer. We took 29 north out of Everglades City past Immokkolee and then some back roads. I don't think we saw a car for 40 miles. I love to boogie on the 1800 when no one is around:lol:. Batman knows the numbers, I didn't have my gps and was enjoying the ride too much to notice. Stopped at Billie's Swamp for pie and coffee and then back home on the alley.

LOL I wasnt sure if I could make it and really just stopped by to intro myself. Computers are great but a handshake is much better. No worries Just wanted to say I was sorry for being late and that I didnt get a chance to meet all of you. I will make a ride soon still getting some bugs out of the bike. I will try to keep up and post my attendance next time. Dont want to get my hand slapped again, LOL, LOL. Althought I might like it from the right lady, then again maybe not the hand. Glad you had a great ride, I am a little jealous, next time. Looking forward to meet all of you soon.
