Anybody feel like riding to Ocala (Little Sturgis) on 7/31?

Meet at 7-11 at Winter Park Rd and Corrine at 8:30 a.m., departing at 8:45. Head west to Performance Honda to arrive btwn 9:15 and 9:30. Leave Performance Honda at 9:45. Hwy 50 west to U.S. 27. U.S. 27 south to Ocala Harley Davidson. 27 merges with 441 and 301.

We should be getting to Ocala Harley Davidson about 11:15 - 11:30. We will hang around there until we want to head home or go someplace else. :D

Thanks for lettin' me tag along, Tina. Was a great day for a little ride and good to see you and Amy again and to meet Wolfmark, et. al! Hope y'all made it back safe and sound. Now I have to go collect on that free dinner.... :)

Blackrose, sorry I missed your post this morning. Did you make it up to Ocala? It wasn't as big as last year, not at the HD shop anyway. But the ride was great. We went up thru Plant City, up 39 and 301, and no rain!
Tina, glad you got a crew to ride along. It was nice meeting all you folks, Amy, HairOnFire, Wolfmark. I just couldn't believe we couldn't find one damn thing in the "souvinier shop" to go with our X! :D See ya on the next one!

Good to meet you, too, Ryder. Did you see that $20 HD metal bucket they were selling? What was that all about? Secondary oil reservoir, maybe? Another collector's item I guess. Sure am glad there were some X'rs around to embarrass me out of buying THAT! :twisted:

Had a good ride. We decided to take 441 home and ended up getting SOAKED!! All I could think of as we were riding through the rain was those who say there bike has never been rained on obviously don't ride in Florida. :D

It does seem that the amount of rain I ride through at any one time is getting smaller, only about 20 miles today. :shock:

HoF, I know the only reason you didn't get that bucket was that it wasn't quite shiney enough :wink:

Even the rain didn't make today bad, it really just made it a bit longer, which is good. I had a great time Tina, glad you suggested it, and it was good to finally meet you HoF and it was a great pleasure meeting you Amy.

When I got home, I noticed all the water in my boots was gone. I know how it got in there, just not sure where it went. Got a few more drops when we split up, but nothing like the rain we saw earlier.

Glad everyone's home safely. Let's do this again!

Sometimes that rain feels really good on a hot day like today. I was almost hoping for it. But I must be livin' right. I weaved my way home. Took 27 to 33 south into Mascotte and then 50 to 561 and 455 home. Never saw a drop. But I'm pretty sure I could see the clouds over your heads in the distance! We need to do it again soon....
