Honda Hoot 2009 cancel, a sign of the times.

KNOXVILLE (WATE) --

A major moneymaker for the Knoxville area has been put on hold. The 2009 Honda Hoot has been canceled.

Organizers say the cancellation was due to "economic uncertainty."

For 15 years, the event has been touted as one of the largest motorcycle rallies in North America.

In the past few years, the Honda Hoot has brought thousands of dollars in revenue to East Tennessee.

Organizers say they hope the Honda Hoot will be back for 2010.

Were looking for a little hope and change here too! The city of Snohomish effectively killed the bike show there for next summer. The chief of police said he needed 40 officers to provide security against the dreaded motorcycle gangs that never show up! So the sponsors were told that they need to come up with $30,000.00 instead of the $5,000.00 that they've paid previously for the last 12 years!!!! :evil:nojoke

Humm and need I ask who is going to pay for Gregoir's Cutbacks-Spending Programs-Cutbacks-Spending Programs: I forgot is Gregoir Cutting Back or Spending? Never mind, because, only the answer really matters--it's not going to be her salery that will be Cutback, so that means We get to Pay Pay Pay! The bright side is what we do today will be what our great great grandchildren get to see--debt. . . I'm sorry did that only apply to the Federal Spending Progam? :yikes:

Atleast I don't have to pay for the Train, the Tunnel and the Floating Bridges! Do I?
