View Full Version : Tech Day at my house

I thought I'd throw this out there. I'm going to need some normal maintenance at the start of the season, and may be tempted to do the steering bearing mod. I've got the room and basic tools to host a tech day out back in the garage and I'm a firm believer in the more the merrier. We could easily handle 20 bikes in the driveway, and 10 inside if it starts to rain. I want to change all the fluids and maybe adjust the valves.
The only catch is I'd need to do it before mid-May, which is when we start to hit the camp in Maine. If anyone is interested, I'd be happy to set it up.

Guys,
We were already planning a tech day in April on either the 18th or the 19th. I think there are probably a bunch of people with all the different work you guys want to do. I know Ken and Steve both have big garages and lots of room. Is that workable for you guys? That doesn't mean we can't have another tech day.....I just didn't know if you had checked the events calendar.

I will come to your house dave I have a extra jack and a pepsx stand if the harley is not broke by then!

I'm interested as I have about 2100 miles on the bike and never had the valves checked...somehow I'm not sure Nault's would even do it as they said they will "listen" to see if the valves need adjusting :roll: Would not mind learning how to do that along with some others things.

And I'm up for any of the Tech days no matter where :thumbup:

When do you guys usually start riding in the spring? I bet the roads are gonna be a mess for a while. Dan has April 18 and 19 reserved for a Tech day, and I'm not sure we'll be very active before then. How about the 1st Saturday in May? I think it's the 2nd. That way if anyone can't make the 18/19,(like me) we don't have to wait too long for another shot. I'm free the next couple of weekends also.

I'm in East Hampstead, right off Rt 111 near East Coast Lumber.
I'm gonna try my new camera and see if I can post some garage pictures.

I'll try to make the 18 19 April as I'll be coming home from a trip to the deep South on the 2nd....hopefully this 4 letter word white stuff will be LONG gone by then
