So, was thinking its time for my annual valve adjustment and some guys may want a show and tell.
I ain’t no real expert and my garage ain’t too fancy but if some guys want to stop over
we could walk through the basics of doing a valve adjustment.
StPaulVTX showed me and some other guys how to do this a couple of years ago. I thought I would pass it along. I don’t have a date in mind. Just post if your interested and we’ll see if it works out.

Mine have only been done once, so I would love to get in on this as well. I'd like to have them done again.

How often should one do a valve adjustment and do you listen for certain things to know if you may need one? I bought my bike 1 year ago with over 30,000 miles on it and the dealer claims they go over used bikes to get them up to speck when they sell them. What that actually means who knows. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

How is that project going with the chrome? I have the use of some garage space at the apartment now and I have been thinking about that brushed chrome for weeks now.

Thanks

Yikes, I guess I need to do one a couple times a year then:oops:

First one is most important. After that I think you can run her 16 between cause most find it doesn't change much after the first one.

That sounds right. My maintenance schedule gives it an 'I' for every 8K, which is "Inspect and clean, adjust, lubricate or replace if necessary."
