Just wondering where you guys start at, what day it is, how long is the run, etc. etc. Thinking about going this year with a bud or whoever.

Thanks

Joe

I start in hastings, and end up in hastings, Usually try and be passing thru prescott about 10:30 in the morning. Good way to stay in front of the pack

How many miles do you put on? Is there a starting point? an end?

The beach bar in Lakelend is the official start. The official end is Bucks Bar in Minnieska. I usually put on 140 - 150 miles I believe. We usually ride down to nelson then over to Alma to the outlook. Grab a bite to eat in Wabasha at Slipperys. Then run back up

That's gotta be close to a 3 hour ride just to get to Hastings/Prescott...

I'm not sure why Bob gave you the date of the fall run...The spring run is on April 18th

I'm not into the Rideing, Drinking, Rideing , some more Drinking....try to Ride; promotion !
IMHO: the flood run's have turned into race's to the next bar before the kegs run out..and if your in their way just rideing....look out ! :yikes:

That is why we try and stay in front of the herd of bikes. But riding back up 35 has proved interesting at times. Always seem to get that ashhole trying to pass a mile long line of bikes coming towards you. Or the puckering guy who crosses into your lane when he miss judges a corner.

I understand that Bruce, but like Bobby said, we leave earlier before the big crowds come through. I look forward to this in the spring seeing some of the guys for the first time after not seeing them all winter.

I think I can speak for most here that the stops we make are for a pop or burger, not to drink beer. In my opinion not all the stops are necessary, but I do like stopping at most of them to spend a little money to support the cause.

Chef & I hadn't seen any speed limit signs for a ways and we thought we were headed out of town.
A cop went the other way, just ae Chef pointed out another 30Mph sign. got it foe 10 over in a 30.
We weren't the only ones getting tickets that day. Heard about another guy getting one on his way home.
I guess with the economy the way it is, they should be thicker than flies on horse $h!t this year.

PRESCOTT ANNOUNCES
“PROJECT RESPECT”

The City of Prescott, Wis., in cooperation with the Saint Croix Valley Riders, local business owners and the Police Department, is pleased to announce “Project Respect,” an effort to reduce traffic congestion, parking issues and improve compliance with city ordinances during all community events. This project will debut during the Flood Run on Saturday, April 18.

“This project is based on mutual respect. We respect the rights of motorcyclists who visit our city during runs and rides, and, in exchange, we ask motorcyclists to respect our ordinances on parking, alcohol use, speed and loud, unnecessary noise,” said Chief of Police Mike R. Bondarenko.

“My department supports the rights of motorcyclists to ride safe and sober. We thank you for all you have done for the charities you have supported with your rides and runs,” Chief Bondarenko continued. “We appreciate your support of our local businesses and welcome you to visit our city at the confluence of the beautiful Mississippi and Saint Croix Rivers.”

The city will make available overflow downtown parking within easy walking distance of the downtown businesses you patronize during the runs. Law enforcement will patrol these parking areas. Signs and volunteers will help direct you to these additional parking areas.

“We ask that you ride safe and sober, park legally, refrain from loud, unnecessary acceleration and obey traffic laws,” Chief Bondarenko concluded. “If we all work together to meet these goals, which are in everyone’s best interests, you will enjoy a safe ride through our city and the people of Prescott will continue to welcome and support your right to ride. Thank you for your cooperation.”

Seems like a logical attempt at a resolution to the issue...

I thought so. Just wonder how many of the bar hoppers from the city will give a sheit. They ride more than 15 miles twice a year...and cause the most problems. Atleast, that is my experience with the floodrun

Go ahead and laugh....

I can't do the Flood Run this year because I have Child birth classes all day that day.... I've never done the run and would like to some time....

Child birth classes: Seems pretty straight forward to me...Push and breathe like your droppin' a deuce and little junior will come sliding outta the chute, ready to ride and contribute to society.....

You're right on.

The last time I did the Flood, we were lined up at that 4-way stop on 35...and 6 clowns come blazing through the the center of a stopped, double line of bikes at least 40 MPH to the front of the herd, and then zipped through the stop sign as a group.

I swear one dude almost clipped my mirror they were so close.

Fricken posers.

I won't laugh...I took them classes. Learned a bit too. Learned more than I probably cared to in some cases. LOL. But it did help come delivery time. Enjoy the breast feeding portion man

I'm doing the flood run and taking a  friend who has never been on a ride so it will be a fun day. If I don't meet up with anyone at Starks in Eagan on hwy 55 and hwy 149 I will see you in Prescott. Doing breakfast about 9 then should be in Prescott about 10-10:30. Do the run down to Alma then over to Wabasha. Gotta go down to Bucks then its back to Treasure Island for the Prime Rib Buffet. Then home by 9 or so. Makes for a long day, if anyone else is interested in any of it or all of it feel free at any point. I know the buffet at the casino is great.
