The Navy base is going to be hiring again this summer - They have what is called the 'Intern Program' which starts you at 28K a year and in 3 years it hits 56K. The catch is that you have to have a 4 year degree. IF you are in college now (regardless of age) they bring you in 40 hours a week, help pay for your college, and when you get your degree you would enter the intern program.
I know this isn't the best opportunity but a fair one for someone just starting out and looking.
