View Full Version : Plate's here, Fender's on
Plate showed up yesterday, wired it all up (WITHOUT Herbie [How will it EVER work ???? ] there to twist wire nuts and mangle masking tape) and installed it last night :thumbup::thumbup:. Mr. :pepper1: knows most of what was involved with the final installation (THANK YOU for the help :firstplace:) , and even staying 'til around 9:30, he still missed the last 2 hours of it :shock::shock::shock: . Worth every minute, came out pretty sweet :doorag::doorag::doorag::doorag::doorag: . Pics to follow.

The fender looks GREAT. This guy knows what he's doing that's for sure. And there is no machine, bolt, screw, tool that can beat him. Just stand back and let him go like the tamanian devil.:bowdown::lol::lol::congrats::congrats: :pepper1::pepper1:

... but can he get partially digested cookies and beer off the garage floor .... ???? :firstplace:
Yeah, but that takes some pretty abrasive cleaners and the water hose. The Bo-who digestive system is still as pedictable as ever :barf::chill:.

Just one question, does this mean we aren't going to wait for the plate at KFC's this week?

...Pick a bale of HAY....
Git up, git down, then spin 'em on around ................ How 'bout we go wait at Berbie's for his tires to grow so they hit the floor ???????? Seems like a few days after a waiting party the desired action takes place    .

when you're making a post in the area right about where you type ther is a little box5th one over from the right, looks like 2 mountain and a yellow sky, goto photobucket, copy the url location then come back here, click that lil box and paste the pic's URL into it, should work. unless the pic is too big of a file then it may not but it'd havew to be pretty big for that

I believe the ONLY way for it to be legal IN the fender like that is if it's vertical. Time to cut a new whole. :pepper1::pepper1::pepper1:
I HATE 'Puters' would much rather be in a garage working with my hands........ easy now guys!

Quick question Carl, how is it lighted?
tros66
03-23-2009, 11:43 AM
I can answer that question because of course I was lead supervisor through most of the operation. :firstplace:
If you look at the 2 bullet like metal thingies at the top of the plate those are actually license plate bolts and "spray" light over the plate area.... very nice...
Plus he has put the Run, Brake Stop wiring in as well so the taillights and blinkers do all of that as well. KFC has done a great job as usual...

You are correct sir! It's a one-off and currently, no one else has done this. You envisioned it, then executed. Very nice. My fender on the otherhand is someone else's idea; I just copied.
BUT, I'm working on SS side covers to replace the plastic so maybe I'll have my original idea to share.
Very Cool 8) 8) 8) . Look forward to seeing them.

Who is this 'chief' guy? I vaguely recall the name ... but haven't seen a post in ages.... does he ride?
Russ Ithaca VTX
03-25-2009, 10:15 AM
The chief is the guy who's been riding for over 38 years, broken bones and all; possibly Bickerson #1. But he's also the guy who can't respond to posts because of all the inside jokes. Better to be silent than a dumba**.
