Just wondering if anyone was heading out for a ride up to Suzie Q's tomorrow? I was thinking of heading over to the Hooters Bike Day Sunday also

Over here in the East Bay it looks like T Storms, my kids want ice cream so I think I'm going to 1 either have them follow me or just ride with them and check the place out, I've never been.

Also, put my 1st Mod on lol :) door edging on the gas tank :)

hey guys
well i received my V&H pipes today
i was installing them and ran into a bit of trouble with the head bolts
hopefully Honda in warwick will have one in stock but i wont be able to get it till tomorow
so i wont be makin the ride tonight

O.K. - I found out that a Memphis Shades windsheild with a 7" cut out does NOT fit our bikes :evil:
Even though I measured my light and ORDERED a 9" cutout - MS calls me and says I need the 7 incher.
Me "are you sure????"
MS - "Oh yeah, positive"
So I get it and it doesn't f$@&*ng fit :!:

Anyhow - I MADE it fit - thank goodness for drum sanders.

I've played classic rock andblues forever and never was that loud.....Ok maybe I am getting on a little in years.....but I can still ride.

I was there wandering around, Bluz ... spent a lot of time talking with the guy with the red Shadow, not that you'd have any clue it was a Shadow by looking at it. Very, sharp, very clean, all around really nice job.

But anyway ... it's harder to tell the VTX riders apart when they're not actually on their rides, I guess. We oughtta find a place to hook up next time so we all know who we are (did that a few weeks ago with the Westerly and CT contingent).

As for the loudness of the band, it's pretty scary when they still can't totally drown out the straight-piped Hardleys. Other than that, they actually sounded pretty damn good (the band, not the Hardleys).

well my pipes are on finally

it was a rough job to start
when removing the stock exhaust a head bolt came out with the nut
turns out the factory ran it on cross threaded
got a replacement from the stealer so its done
all i can say is man im very happy with the Vance & Hines Big Shots
my wife thinks they are LOUD which means im Happy
lol
well maybe ill see you guys sunday at Hooters

ah, back from vacation. looks like ya'll have been busy with putting on stuff. i should have a shield put on by tommorow if UPS shows today, got a hellcat shield with mounts for $50 off someone selling one off the classifieds. looking forward to getting back out again, vacation was great but kept seeing bikes everywhere from here to tx and back and kept thinking i need to ride!!!

nah, back to work tommorow night, maybe next weds/thurs night. vacation was great, had my 3 kids (sons 17 and 19 and daughter 14), Deb and her 12 yr old daughter. 1st time they all met and everyone got along great. saw my mom, her dad, an old friend hadnt seen in way over 20 years, was real good, if didn't have to pay the bills i'd have made it a month *L*.

We should kinda pick out a spot for all us VTX's that go but can't find each other. I would like to meet some of the guys but usually don't ride in with anyone. Any ideas.....anyone take a leak and mark out our territory...hehehe.
