8) The Mo-Kanxriders are planning a group ride to Ft. scott on Sunday Aug. 22. I plan on riding up early Sunday morning to met the guys in Ft. Scott. I leave Winfield take the county roads up to ElDorado then take Hiway 54 to Ft. Scott. Anyone interested in ride to Ft. Scott let me know. I met a few of the guys from the group at Cassoday, Roogie, JB3, and Hawkeye should be a lot of fun. The final plans for the trip have not been posted yet should know more in a few days. Lets's try and get a good size group to head up. Post here or shoot me an e-mail.

It looks like the plans have been set. The Mo. riders will meet at the gas station by the Royals Stadium and ride to the Ks. meeting place. The Ks. meeting plase is Fred P. Otts 135th and K7. The meet time at Fred P. Otts is 11:00 a.m. If you want more details look on MoKanxriders.com then look for the Aug 22 ride thread.

8) Graygost II, did you get to make the pre-run to Ft. Scott with J3B? I was hoping he would find us a spot to meet there. I'll be coing up from the south and meeting the rest of the Mo-Kanxriders there. Looks like I will have a few riding up with me from Independance KS. Hope this cool weather we been having will hold till next Sunday.

I made the rideCC. and I must say it was great. I rode about 280mi. round trip. I think he picked a BBQ place. I don't knoe the name of it but it has a Hotel in the same parking lot. I'm sure he will be posting some info on MoKanxriders.com

A couple of us maybe riding from Topeka, KS. What's your route and what's the time frame? I'm guessing we will have to meet you in Louisburg or someplace else depending on the route. Appreciate some feed back. Ride Safe.

This is the route we took. It would be easier for you guys to meet us in Olathe. Fred P. Otts parking lot 11:00 am. It is located on K7 high way and Santa Fe (135th street) Notrh west corner of the intersection. (We didn't go thru Louisburg is why I'm saying it would be easier to meet in Olathe.) Any way below is a copy of a thread from MoKanxriders.com

all three of us (randy stevens->GrayGhost, michael friese->bigd65101??, and myself) rode our route for next weekend. starting at fred p otts on 135th street and k7 highway in olathe, we will go south on lone elm road, hit highway 69 for less than a mile, then on through higginsville and higginsville lake. through cadmus and mound city to fort scott, which is highway 7 all the way. most of the shops and eateries in downtown fort scott are closed on sundays, but we did see a bbq place on the south end of town, which we can eat at in order to make charlie happy. after lunch, we will head west on highway 54, then north on highways 3, 31, and 59 through kincaid, garnett, and ottawa. we will bypass lawrence and end up going over k10, if anyone wants to peal off early like the guys did today. this is not recommended, as the last 20 miles of the ride take us over some great roads through eudora and then ends up in bonner at kobis bar and grill. this will be a good ending spot, as bonner is located at i70 (for the missouri guys) and k7 (for the kansas guys). Hope to see you guys somewhere.
