I want to go to the Dark Side and put a car tire on the back of my 04 C, but I can't seem to find anyone to put it on. Does anyone know of a place near Erie to get this done? My back tire desperately needs changed and I definitely want to go with the General on the back. Please help?:dontknow:

I put a Michelin Hydroedge (205/65/16) on my 1800R and have about 900 miles on it so far. I put it on myself with my neighbor's tire machine. I realize that may not be an option for you, but you should look for an independent shop and be honest about what you want to do. If you take the wheel off yourself you can haul it around with the new tire until you find someone to do it for you. Don't give up, if you can't find anyone, bring it to me and I'll change it for you. (Butler is a 1 1/2 hour drive from Erie)
I really have no problems with the CT on the rear of my X, it behaves slightly different than a motorcycle tire, but it's easy to get used to. I had the bike inspected on Saturday and the mechanic that inspected it commented on the size of the tire, but had no problem with putting a sticker on it.
I recommend you try it if you think it's something you can adjust to, and if you don't give up you can get it done.

Thanks for all the ideas and help. I may have found someone willing to help out with this, now that Little League baseball is starting (field preparations) I will have more time to get this done. Thanks again to all.
