Has anyone out there done the vtxexhaust conversion?
I have a 03 1800R and had Hard Chrome 3" big straights with baffles. After a few years of these, I went back to my stock exhaust. I would like a little more sound from these. Too much with one and not enough with the other.
I have searched around for a video from anyone who has done the conversion, but to no avail. www.vtxexhaust.com (http://www.vtxexhaust.com) has no video so as to hear it. Anyone have any ideas.:dontknow:

Mine was on a C so not real good info from me. It sounded good but not exactly what I was looking for. Much closer now. :D Almost bound to be someone on the 3 pass blast with that mod. Maybe someone will chime in.

I have a 03 1800 R that I had them do last year, I was looking for better over all performance and mileage for my X And with Jons Help I Got there very easy ( Thanks Again Jon ) But the exhaust work done at VTX exhaust was the best the price was right ,there turn around fast and they sound awesome with or without the baffles. I would get the baffles you can take them in or out very easy. You will be happy with the way they treat you, These folks will make sure all is right with you. You can take parts to a ups store and they have the right size box and they will pack them just make sure the ends are reinforced and all is tight you don't want pipes to shift in box. If you want more info just give me a call.

Thanks Jon I have been out and off board with PC problems. I hope to get over with a ride or 2 this year. My knee is getting a little better now so I am ready!

I did the vtxexhaust.com modification on my 2003 1800 R/S three years ago and have been very happy. If you do not use the baffles the pipes can be very loud when you are twisting the throttle. I did not really notice any performance or mileage improvements, but I needed more sound than the stock pipes offered. I hope to ride the 3 pass blast and if you are still interested we may be able to meet up then and compare sound.

I just did the conversion on my 2002 1800C, sounds killer!! Wish I would have done it sooner! Couldn't tell ya about any mileage or anything just yet, but it's a definate must compared to the stock sound!
Let'em all know your there!

By the way, there IS in fact a link to hear the vtxehaust conversion. It's on there site, look around a bit and you'll find a sound bite link...it's fairly accurate but sounds way better in person!
