Hi All,

What is the best stuff to use to clean the wheels on an 1800C? I just got mine a weeek ago and dammit it is tight to clean them! Any help at what is best would be appreciated!!!

Thanks

Tom

Hi Tom,

I use Mother's Mag Wheel cleaner. It's a white paste in a white and red jar. It does a good job of cleaning, and also puts down a protective coating. It makes keeping the wheels clean alot easier. I try to give my wheels a thorough cleaning at least twice a year.

Good luck,
Gus

Twice a year? That's how often I clean my bike. Spring and Fall is the rule.

Nooooooooooooooooooooo, Ragman!

I polish the wheels about twice a year. I wash the bike every time it gets dirty, even if it's every day that I ride it. That includes cleaning the wheels. If you are religious about putting good polish on the wheels, the dirt comes off much easier when you wash them. Get it?

I don't buy your "twice a year" cleaning story. That bike looked clean when I saw it!

Well, I can also tell you that I've seen many an aluminum mag wheel after they get really dirty, stained, and pitted. It ain't a pretty sight, let me tell ya! After that, only sandpaper works.
