Thought maybe we could start a list of some of your favorite places to eat here in OK.
Sam&Ellis in Tahlequah has the best pizza I have ever had. The sloppy pie is stuffed with cheese and pepperoni, and 3-4 pieces is about all you can eat because they are thick. That is one of my favorite places.

J&W Grill in Chickasha has a FANTASTIC onion burger and an out of this world coney. Anybody heading that way best PM me so that I can tag along. Just be warned, cash only.


Mama E's in OKC (3838 Springlake) has some very good soul food. Their collard greens are easily the equal to what my Grandmother used to make. Also a cash only joint, and don't be discouraged by the exterior.


Eischen's has quite possibly the best fried chicken in the US. I, and most of my friends, are fairly well travelled thanks to work and have yet to eat chicken that can beat it. Very limited menu and they take a card.

hey you al ever heard of PETES in krebs!!?? they make every thing from pizza to beer! I LIKE THE RIB EYE ! AND THE APETIZERS AR AWSOME! A LITTLE PRICY BUT YOU GET EVERY PENNY WORTH! THEY HAVE PRIVET DINNING ROOMS FOR NO EXTRA COST OR BANQUET ROOMS TOO! AND THEN THERE IS little hole in the wall across tr. #9 from the casinio in thunder bird lake area it looks like a falling down bilding but has the best food! i make a point t eat there ! i have been going there for 4 to 6 years! and will be making a special trip there to take my son and wife! i plan to make a trip!

yep roseanns is my mothers favriot place! there is a little place in krebs called krebs corner and it is the best pizza i have ever had ! 12.00 gets you and yours a meal for 8!!! +drinks! them gota be abour 5lbs!(large piza with every thing) and all home made stuff! if you go OK ST are you a fan of pistol pete? i usta live in krebs and still have a few places there !! i work in McAlester and live in Atoka! i ride my vtx every day weather permiting! i have 65 days left till i am home again! i cant wait till i get home and fire up my 1800!! i hope to hook up with some people here to share some pavement!

chicken - definately okarche

I totally forgot about Ken's...I even graduated from Am-Po!

A&E though, man that place is overrated. The servers are generally pretty cute but that's about all they have going for them.

Also, what's your take on Temezcal for mexican?

tesmezcal is the best mexican in Chix, but i like teds better but really different types so maybe a little unfair on comparrison.
Munos in anadarko is good mexican, the owner used to work for alberto and juanna @ Tesmezcal.
Alberto is the one to open BJ's but he makes great pizza and burgers

what year did you Grad from am-po i know alot of people from that area and our son graduated there in 03, i helped coach the golf team while he was in HS.

Graduated in 2000. My mother is the English teacher at the high school, so you probably do know me! Small world ain't it?

Munoz is a good place as well. I know Victor and JoAnna from way back and they've always treated me right when I go in there for lunch or dinner.

The service at Ted's is great but I've always found the food lacking compared to a "real" mexican place. Granted, I'm in the (vast) minority there.

I will have to go down and visit BJ's. If Alberto put the same care into that place as he did Temezcal it should be well worth the ride.

+1 on Bakers & use to agree w/ Wildhorse but after eating there back in the early 90's they got caught serving horse!! Blegh to the thought but it was tasty to say the least; very lean. :yikes:

kellogs in okmulgee!is a good mom and pop restraunt!! get there early if you want a seat! ,, pig out palace is good too ! food bar and all you can eat for one price! and they keep it coming !!i think ill start at the aek boarder and go west! kinda mark all these down and do a wright up on them !! any one wanna ride ! i ll have 4 weeks off in aug ~sept! just one trip planned! thats another thread!
