For many years the paint on my 02 VTX has deteriorated to an unsightly faded mess, including orange peeling. I've tried many waxes/polishes, polishing compounds etc. with little success. The paint is black with blue and maroon metalic flames.The bottom line is it needs a new paint job but money is a little tight right now for a custom paint job.
Recently I purchased "Turtle Wax Color Magic" car polish which comes in several different colors. I chose black. It also came with a black colored "Chipstick" for repairing chipped paint. After applying polish several times, the finish looks pretty darn good and the black polish did not effect the color of the flames at all. The orange peeling is hardly noticeable anymore.
