Anyone see the paper this am. Guy in N. Prov. was killed on a 2004 Honda. Was riding with a couple of guys. They saw his rear wheel lock-up.
Just because they put down 2004 honda and with other guys it sounds like a VTX'r lost it. Anyone know more?

I have not heard anything, but X or not, there have been quite a few riders going down in our area. I think there were 2 in Saturdays paper. Be careful out there :!:
Practice those emergency stops.
Locking up the rear wheel = "your gonna have a bad time"

I find it is very easy to rest your right toe on the brake pedal. I'm diabetic and have very little feeling in my right foot. I always have to be aware where I place the toe. I started to smell burning brake pads a week ago on the way to Suzi Q's. I almost toasted the pads. Maybe this guy did the same thing and the pads fused to the rotor. Or the caliper froze in the closed position. I've a friend who had this happen to him on his Gold Wing.
Just a thought here. Maybe a manufactures defect.

Someone that works with me thinks he was not wearing a helmet and riding a speed bike, I think he was going at a low rate of speed but if he had no helmet you lower your chances.

We have had I think 4 all within 15 days and I think all 4 were not wearing a helmet.

I'm a fairly newB so I'm going to make sure I practice.
I know in a rear skid stay on the brake ...

I had to lay it down only once. Foreigner went through a stop sign on the east side..I was going maybe 30 and had to lay it down. I bounced off his rear tire. Minor scratches..bike and me.

Bluz...and few blacks that time!

I'm thinking of doing it, I haven't heard a bike with it yet

Like it so far....deeper ...louder. No need to go crazy will the drill.
15/32 is cool about 6 holes. No need to chop any pipes off.

O.K. guys - here is the skinny on that North Providence kid.
My wife (waitress) waited on a family friend of that young man. Crotch rocket. Bike malfunctioned - locked up rear wheel. Lungs punctured by his ribs when he hit a parked SUV. He was wearing a helmet. :?

real shame about the kid.

as for the clayton, i did it using 1/2" bit 12" long, went as far as would go. sounds pretty decent when you get on it a bit. probably going to get pipes at some point but for now pretty decent.
