Both A.B.A.T.E. of MN and the St. Croix Valley Riders have been working (unsuccessfully) for the past 3 years trying to get a failure to yield bill passed by the Minnesota legislature.

This is just one of the many issues that make it necessary for all motorcyclists to become more politcally active.

"Sorry, I didn't see him/her coming the other way" is not a very good excuse if it forces someone else's family and friends to say "We will never get a chance to see him/her ever again".

Negligence deserves more than a hand slap.

The driver of the car, a 20-year-old woman...

... the Sheriff's Office said neither alcohol nor drug use are factors.

I wonder if it was "texting" :dontknow:

I think they should throw the book at em.

Wednesday night on the way to work some idiot cut me off pulling from being parked on the side of the road into my lane. They were at a base ball game so there was a line of cars on the side of the road. I had to take the other lane to avoid them. Had I not been on it things could have been worse. Just reminds me I need to hook up a horn again

It's very frustrating seeing how bad drivers are. Coming home this afternoon on 694 in my cage traffic was coming to a standstill. As I slowed down I watched the idiot behind me talking on his cell phone with his left hand while drinking something with his right hand. He slammed on the brakes and I thought for sure I would be rear-ended. He veered onto the shoulder while still talking and drinking. My kids had to calm me down to keep me from committing a major crime. Had I been on the bike there is no way he would have seen me with his level of incompetence.

I am still shaking.

Drive safe everyone.

I think it should be illegal to talk on the phone and drive at the same time. If you need to take the call pull over! I just don't answer the phone and give them a call back when I get to my destination. Cell phones do have there purpose but I would be happy if they were never invented JMO! It seems like you can't get away anymore it's always there! Just yesterday I was out riding and some azz in a red jeep went to pass another car comming at me, I hit the brakes and took the TAR shoulder flipped him off. I don't thik he saw me untill I was right next to him! But to make good of the situation there was a sherrif right behind me comming up the hill:-P I turned around to see if he had saw him and the lights were already flashing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope he got a ticket and not just a warning!
