Anyone planning on riding Bluff Rd., something to be aware of, turtles ! My office is right off of Bluff in the old town of Valmeyer , the cave. I rode to the office on Saturday morning at about 7:30. In the 14 miles between Red Roof and caves, 40 turtles on the road.:yikes: I don't know if it is mating season or just the high backwater along the levee and the lake, but I thought the deer were bad when the corn is up, but I felt like I was riding a slalom course. Speaking of deer, when the corn reaches approx. 6 ft. tall, please be careful. I have 20 employees and 9 of them hit deer last summer.

Its funny you mention about the turtles. Last weekend was the same for us riding out to Jeff City via back roads down by the rivers, and then again on the Ill side following the river on 96 and 100.
I think you hit it on the head with the high water issue.............poor things are running everywhere..........:D Lets make some soup!

Happens every year in the spring. It is the yearly search for the nookie. Anywhere there is water then there is the same problem.
