Anyone Riding this weekend? 8-14

Now that the hurricane ran away, and did not even really mess with Jacksonville at all, anyone going riding this afternoon or tomorrow if the weather is ok? Was just wondering.

Went for a short ride this evening. It was great riding weather... not too hot. Tode across the Shands bridge and up Roosevelt to 295. Cool thing is that I had my husband raise my widsheild a bit and it made the biggest difference in the buffeting... actually made it non existent. Don't know about tomorrow... I am not available until after 6P then I am out of town until the 29th. Here's hoping that we can hook up sometime.

I rode to St Johns Seafood for takeout this PM but that's it. Weather permitting I'd like to ride Sunday afternoon. The wife will be busy so I'll be solo.

Why don't we try this. Meet at Perkins in Mandarin at 4:00 today and get to know each other. If it looks good go for a ride. If not get coffee and set something up for the future. It is thundering right now as I write but you know how that is, turn around once and it is gone. Stu

Where is the perkins in Mandarin?

On SR13(San Jose Blvd) south of I-295 and north of Mandarin Rd on the west side of road

Ok, I will see if i can find it, I may be a few mnin late, out at the beach here, will take me 30 min or so to get there I would guess, may be closer to 4:15 - 4:30ish. Normally takes me about 30 min to get ready to go riding, so 4 is pushing it, but I will try.

There is no hurry. I will be wearing a black t-shirt and jeans

WE were there till about 7:00 in the hopes others would show up but none did. Sorry you couldn't come but there was no way to let anyone know. We talked about setting up a ride to Daytona next Saturday. I surely hope we are able to get several riders together. There will be another post to advise time and place. We will probably go via A1A.
