Hi Everyone,

Met with ViperVTX today, very nice gentleman. We got to talking about saddlebags and stuff, and he mentioned that he was interested in the Corbin Beetle Bags. I was also looking at these bags and was planning on running down in Saturday to the Corbin store in Daytona to take a look, so we thought we would try to make a ride out of it if weather is permitting.

So we thought we would check to see if anyone else would be interested in making a run down to take a look at the Corbin place and any other stores that we can get into and see what trouble we can find. I would propose running down A1A since it is a fairly quiet road, a relaxing ride, and nice scenery. We could stop for lunch and whatnot along the way and just make a day of it.

Just wondering if anyone had any prefered meeting places and what would be a good time for everyone. I would suggest 9 or 10 in the morning, and maybe meeting down in Ponta Vedra where A1A meets up with 210. West side people could get here without too much backtracking, and anyone from the north or the beaches would have a fairly easy ride also.

Post whatever suggestions everyone has, and lets see if we can get something worked out and going.

I'm about 1.5 - 2 hrs from that suggested meet point.............
I'm wondering.... if I trailer down Sat am, could I leave my truck & trailer at someone's house? That way if we get one of those PM thunder-boomers, I can at least spare myself that much misery, not to mention 3-4 additional hours of solo riding . I'm not sure yet if I will be able to go but knowing this in advance will help.
Thanks
Mike

I may have a small glitch with the ride on Saturday. I have just been informed that they are going to deploy 50 of us here at work to south Florida for hurricane relief. I am in that pool, but have not been told if I am going to be deployed yet. I will know for sure tomorrow.

Yes, I went to Florida State for both my undergrad and masters degrees. Fun little town, noisy during football season though.

So far, I have not received any notice that I am going to be sent, so I am still planning on riding this weekend unless I get orders to the contrary. If people do not want to run down to Daytona, but do something shorter, I would be all for that all. Was just trying to see if we could get anything going at all.

I'm back on the boat!

Do need a place to park the truck & trailer though. Ideas? :?

I live in an apartment complex, it should not be a problem to park there for a day, but you may need to unhitch the trailer from the truck. We do not have assigned parking or anything like that. Just not a whole lot of room to park an assembled unit like that. I live in Neptune Beach right off of A1A, if you think that will work, I can send you directions. Still hoping we get some other riders that want to go.

Guys I met with "fsucivileng" today and told him why I could not go to Daytona this weekend. I joined the Blue Knights MC this week and they immediately got me interested in the things they are doing and I am going to participate in the 4th Annual Motorcycle Run to benefit the Special Olympics this Saturday.

This is a police escorted ride thoughout St. Johns County starting at Interior Designs on US 1 at US 210 and ends at the Hurricane Restaurant on St Augustine beach. Limited to 750 bikes and there are going to be a bunch there.

There will be a chicken dinner a band and a good time at the end so all is invited. The donation is $20.00 per rider and $10.00 for each passenger.

For more information go to www.blueknightsfl23lawenforcement.org (http://www.blueknightsfl23lawenforcement.org) or
contact Manny Gonzalez 904-237-0154.

Not sure I am up for riding in that large of a group yet, and money is going to be tight this week since I am just getting done putting toys on the toy. I would not mind riding up to Amelia Island and meeting you guys and putting around if you guys are headed that way. Would like to meet some people from the board.
