My son and I will be going to Deal's Gap, NC in Sept to ride the Tail of the Dragon (311 turns in 11 miles, plus, I think 900' to 4,000' elev. change. Also we are planning on spending the day riding the surrounding area, which is beautiful.
Our plans are to make this trip on a Friday, trailering the bikes to Eastern TN (straight up 75 through Atlanta-850 miles from Coral Springs), staying in a motel there, and bike riding that Saturday. Return trip is Sunday.
We have not set the exact dates, as yet.
Any interest in making this a group event? You will have to provide your own transportation, or for you "Iron Butts" ride your bike.
