Does anyone know of any stores that sell higher quality leather motorcycle Jackets in central Florida? I live in Pinellas County and although there are a few vendors here they carry mostly lower quality jackets. The Harley dealers carry some nice Jackets, BUT they all have the big Harley name or logo on them. I already wear a helmet that says Harley (Could not find a good fit anywhere else). I do not want a Jacket that is that obnoxious, but I do want a good quality (Kind of like Disney stuff. they sell some real good quality clothes, but ruin it by putting that mouse or one of his friends all over it).
P.S. I read the posting on 1%ers. If I am wearing a helmet that says Harley on it and run into a pack of Harley dudes, do you think they will ask me to remove my helmet? (actually, I'd be glad to if I could find one that fits as good someplace else). Anyone know of a good helmet store too?

There will be a zillion vendors at Oktoberfest. Meanwhile, there are lots of stores on Main St., and at the Iron Horse, (in Daytona) that are open now. You are close enough to take a quick ride to check them out.
BTW, I tried on a cheap M/C jacket last week..........the thing must have weighed 20 lbs.
On the other hand, I have a Ralph Lauren leather jacket, that I bought 10 yrs ago for $600. Light as a feather.......still looks new.......soft as butter. The old saying about getting what you pay for was certainly true in this case.

Barney's Leather in Daytona sales some pretty good items. For helmets I would check out The Helmet Store in Daytona as well.

Good luck finding what you are looking for.

Did ya check with Jim & Cindys biker depot in your backyard? If they don't have it, they might get it for you.

Those are the folks that have a shop on 62nd avenue by 49th street and also set up at Biff's aren't they? If that is who they are I have checked out what they sell and it is mostly the lower priced heavier stiffer stuff. Plus, I am looking for a more specific type and they are pretty limited. As for ordering it, it is absolutely necessary to try the jackets on first. They vary widely in how a particular size fits ( I normally wear a 40. They had some jackets that I would have had to buy a 48 to fit. Now THAT is some real variance). I personally would never order any article of clothing for that reason. I am sure that there are a lot more places to go up north simply because jackest are almost a year round thing up there. Down here there are only a few months that are like that. So, not a big a market for them. I will probably end up going to Daytona.
