Motorcycle officer hurt in crash

CHANDLER - A Chandler police officer on a motorcycle was injured in a collision Friday morning at Arizona Avenue,
just north of Ray Road, police said.

A car that had stopped at a stop sign pulled out in front of the officer, who was unable to avoid the collision.

As a precautionary measure, the officer was taken to a local hospital with wrist injuries and a sore leg.

No one else was injured in the collision.
The cause of the accident was under investigation.

don't get the knucklehead part but heck, i wave at cop bikes too..although they likely think that is a bit of a laugh...

but two wheels are two wheels.

here is one...

i was rolling up our oracle road (tucson) towards winkleman-globe and i came across a bike on shouder...so i pulled in, said howdy and shouted "are you good?"...ha...turned out it was a mc cop checking his rig...at first he looked at me as if i were crazy...then just kinda grinned....as an after thought, this was before i discovered that the X speedo is off and so by default, i was 5-7 under....ha...bit of a laugh...but i would do it again..
