Backfiring

Well, I think I found the reason for my excessive backfire on decel. It doesnt make sense but the vacuum line on the back of the petcock was not connected at the T. After connecting the hose, the idle was very low, and the bike would die, so I upped the idle speed. What doesnt make sense is that the bike shouldnt have run at all with the vacume line disconnected, unless the petcock is allowing fuel to flow without vacuum. I know there was a recall for faulty petcocks, but my bike wasnt on the list.

Just chalk another thing up to having a "Friday Bike".

I just checked the oil this morning, the crankcase is full of gas, about 3/4 inch above the full line. The noise I've been hearing is probably from scouring in the cylinder walls. First coast honda said they will pick it up next week, after they get moved to their new location.

The Rooster actually has a whopping 450 cc 0 - 65 in 20 secs. Yes I do have a warranty, but I think thats going to be a battle with the dealer. I am so optimistic, that I registered the Rooster for 2 years.
