Yep. That's how castro kept cuba from revolting. He had the firearms reg' lists left over from batista when he stole the Island using "revolution." as a bogus cover.

I don't think any lists at all re; firearm ownership should be kept. Let our enemies take heed and wonder if we'd really be worth the trouble. ;)

Very little activity on this since it was introduced in January, no co-sponsors yet. With the dims and BO currently struggleing with their attempt to destroy health care I doubt too many of them want to handle this hot potato right now.
It's certainly something to keep an eye on, but I doubt it will go anywhere this year and with the potential of a 2010 bloodbath I doubt too many dims will want to touch it next year. A lot of them still remember what happened after they passed the 94 "assault weapons" ban.
