Anybody have any experience with'em? I got the survey in the mail, that thing was ridiculous. I answered for the persons, the same way. Race, gender, age. They must not have liked that so they sent another one. Didn't bother with it. Then a census taker came by the house and left a letter stuck in the door that she'd be back. She came back on a Sunday, I told her I had already answered it and sent it back and perhaps she should check with the post office. She asked if I would mind answering some questions again and I refused and politely (more or less) asked her to leave the property. Now I get two letters explaining the importance of the survey (census) and saying the woman would be returning for the information, again..........geeeeez!

I had an almost the same problem.
I pointed to the no trespassing sign and explained next time i will call the police and we can talk in court.
The congress has passed laws regarding the refusal to submit to the census, or issuing false statements on a census form. Civil penalties for violation of this law are delineated in Title 13 USC, Chapter 7, Subchapter II, Paragraph 221 as follows:
(a) Whoever, being over eighteen years of age, refuses or willfully neglects, when requested by the Secretary, or by any other authorized officer or employee of the Department of Commerce or bureau or agency thereof acting under the instructions of the Secretary or authorized officer, to answer, to the best of his knowledge, any of the questions on any schedule submitted to him in connection with any census or survey provided for by subchapters I, II, IV, and V of chapter 5 (http://www4.law.cornell.edu/uscode/uscode13/usc_sup_01_13_10_5.html) of this title, applying to himself or to the family to which he belongs or is related, or to the farm or farms of which he or his family is the occupant, shall be fined not more than $100.
(b) Whoever, when answering questions described in subsection (a) of this section, and under the conditions or circumstances described in such subsection, willfully gives any answer that is false, shall be fined not more than $500.
(c) Notwithstanding any other provision of this title, no person shall be compelled to disclose information relative to his religious beliefs or to membership in a religious body.
What should be noted here is that, in practice, the federal government has not been enforcing the penalty on a citizen’s failure to respond to the census. So even if you don’t respond, the chances are, nothing will happen. Nevertheless, we are suggesting that, whether you get the long or the short form, only give the names of the individuals in your household, their ages and your address, nothing else. A simple head count is all that is required by the Constitution. This author has done that for years and has never been fined, or even contacted by a census taker.
And one other thing. To let a real live census taker on your property is an invitation for them to collect huge volumes of data about you and your property, including your GPS coordinates. Why does the Federal Government need your GPS coordinates anyway? They already have your address......

A simple head count is all that is required by the ConstitutionI supplied them with that info in a letter and put N/A in everything else. I later informed the live census taker of my intentions if she returned. She came because of the same issues the OP had. I told her they already had all the info i am required to give them and she was there because they DID receive the letter.
I will GLADLY have a talk with them in court with my attorney if the received letter was not adequate. He is a total prick and i enjoy watching him work.
She never returned and i never heard another word about it.

They signed me up for a several year census of some sort once.
It was PITA...a lady would call every so often and then came out to visit from what I remember, that was prior to the last census. UGH ! ~M

Not heard from them as of yet!
I have read where they "WILL" be including the illegals in the census count for the re-division of the districts! After all, that's what the census is for!
The liberal left will stop at nothing to expand their constituent base!
As far as I am concerned they can keep Acorn away from my family, me and my place!
Where do I pay my fine?
I will instruct them on how to leave the premises..................... immediately!!
