Are liberal newscasters so bad that no one wants to watch them? Or....
Something else?
My opinion later.

Their claim is fair and balanced.
We report, you decide.
Fox tends to report what NBC,CBS,ABC, CNN and MSNBC dosnt, thats my thought. Olbermann and Maddow I believe are the same person. Not to mention they are camera monkeys.

Americans buy into sensationalism, drama, and entertainment. And Hannity/O'rongly/Beck are defninately not fair and balanced (speaking of camera monkeys!) If this isn't true, how come we're not watching the live feeds of the government in action? Booooooring.
And Glennok, we all know what your opinion is.

I don't watch any of those shows for a couple of pretty simple reasons now.
1) I was absolutely sick of a three year presidential election that dominated every second of news media on any channel day in and day out.
I'll agree with this one, as for your other one politics/politicians and people who are obsessed with politics I have no time for. All those 3 above mentioned things do is cause divides, dissension, and in alot of cases hate twords one another.

If you think the mess that this country is in started in January then you are the one that is clueless.
And I don't think you know me well enough to take this personal.
I'm just tired of hearing the same crap from the left. Nothing personal.
No it didn't start in January, but it didn't start with Bush either. Bush inherited economic problems from the clinton/dot.com fiasco, then we had a war, then because of clinton we had housing failures.
The obamama inherited this, but his spending makes Bush look like a monk. Seems to me that anyone can see that this is NOT the time to spend trillions on something we don't need, especially after we spent a trillion on bailouts we didn't need.
Common sense tells me that we should throttle back, let the economy recover, and then use that time to come up with a sound plan.

I think Fox does present reasonably fair and balanced news. However, that has nothing to do with this thread. The shows that are listed above are 'Opinion & Comment' shows. The folks at the desks give their perspectives on what's going on. Other folks who are interested tune in to hear it.
Looks like more people are interested in the perspectives of conservatives.

We could go back and forth on this all day and neither of us is going to change the others mind. You asked a simple question at the top of this thread and I was stupid enough to try to give you a civil answer.I am one of 66,882,230 that voted for the guy you hate. You lost. GET OVER IT. Give the man a chance.
I will say this. When Bush was president I NEVER called him names.I don't like the guy but I spent enough time in the Marine Corps and on this planet and in other countries to know the meaning of respect.I try to give every one respect, even people I don't agree with until they prove otherwise that they don't deserve it.And that's all I got to say on this PERIOD.
I just love it when Democrats say "You lost, just get over it". The Democrats in Congress spent 8 years trying to get revenge for losing the election in 2000. There have been protesters on street corners for the last 8 years likening Bush to Hitler. For the first time in history, open and outright hostility and disrespect was shown for a sitting President. (Congratulations for acting like an adult and not participating in that kind of activity. Name me one other President who suffered the indignity of a trash talking cartoon parodying him. Especially while still in office!) For the last 8 years Democrats have done everything in their power to make everything Bush's fault. Well I've got news for you. The situation America is in now is not Bush's fault. That lay squarely on the shoulders of a Congress that did nothing even closely resembling the business of running a country for the last 8 years. Democratic leaders spent all their time blocking everything they thought might make Bush look good. So the next time you utter the words "You lost, just get over it", remember.... You started it!

Although I too supported GWB, your limited appreciation of history, as displayed by the quote above, made me laugh.
I seriously doubt that ANY US President has NOT been mocked and shown disrespect. You need to read the papers from the 1700s to get a better view of incredible partisanship, bitterness and hostility.

You are correct, of course. I should have been more specific and said in my cognative lifetime. The last 8 years have been a disturbing low in my opinion.
By the way, my appreciation of history is not so much limited as my ability to express myself clearly at time when my passion has overtaken my oratory skills. Thank you for your attempt at making me feel less appreciative than you obviously are. It reminded me that we all need to feel important sometimes.
I'm just tired of hearing the same crap from the left. Nothing personal.
No it didn't start in January, but it didn't start with Bush either.
This bad economy started when the Dems took over congress a couple years ago. As obamma gained popularity,...work began to dry up. Instead of buyin' homes, folks started selling them. Then as jobs were lost, loans went unpaid. Things have leveled off for now but, will get worse before they even begin to improve.
THANK GOD,..I've already made my stack of cash. I wouldn't wanna have to do it again in these times. Whereas I've had hundreds of people work for me at a time,....I don't foresee hiring anyone ever again.

Now for some reason the big focus of most of the media on the current conflict is how bad the opium is destroying the world and funding the Taliban.
When the Taliban was in almost total control wasnt opium production at an all time low according to the same media years ago?
Im not saying either is false but its interesting how THEIR focus changes and how the celebrities follow whatever becomes the popular side created by the media.

Did you ever think that maybe people watch because they're concerned for their country and what the obamama is doing to it, and they know they're not getting the whole story from the MSM talking heads? Quite frankly, you'll never hear a bad thing said about the obamama or his policies on the MSM. They're all drooling sycophants.

Apparently reading Bills aren't required of the House, the Senate, or the President. Be it Republican, Democrat, or Independent...
"For the People, By the People"...oh the naivety of it all...
Commodity Futures Modernization Act of 2000 (H.R. 4577)
262 pages of 11,000 page conference report - 4 minutes
This 262 page financial deregulation bill was placed into an 11,000 page conference report made available four minutes before consideration began in Congress. The bill would later be seen as giving rise to the large amount of risky behavior in the financial sector, ultimately leading to the global financial meltdown of September 2008.
American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009
1,100 pages - 13 hours
Better known as the "stimulus" bill, this $789 billion, 1,100-page behemoth meant to create jobs and jump start the ailing economy was available for public perusal for just about 13 hours before Congress began considering it.
Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008
169 pages - 29 hours
The first time the House considered the $700 billion bailout bill to rescue Wall Street, in September 2008, many complained about the rush and voted it down. But just a few days later, the Senate revived a revised bill. The same day, both the Senate and the House approved it.
Consolidated Security, Disaster Assistance, And Continuing Appropriations Act, 2009
Under pressure because the fiscal year was drawing near the end and none of the appropriations bills had been completed, Congress rushed through a continuing resolution that extended government funding at 2008 levels through March 2009.
Housing and Economic Recovery Act of 2008
694 pages - 19 hours
Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac got a bailout in this quick moving legislation approved in July 2008.
Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act of 1978 Amendments Act of 2008
114 Pages - 17 hours
After just two hours of debate, the House passed this bill, which loosened requirements for the government to set up surveillance of individuals and granted immunity to telecommunications companies for wiretapping.
Best Pharmaceuticals for Children Act of 2007
422 pages - 1 hour
This little noticed legislation hurried through by Congress sets safety standards for reviews of drugs and medical devices. Consumer advocates criticized the legislation for being too weak—and since the law's passage, numerous instances have surfaced of problems with medical devices approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
USA PATRIOT Act of 2001
241 pages - 0 hours
Passed in a rush after the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001, this law expanded the federal government’s ability to gather intelligence, engage in domestic surveillance and secret searches and detain immigrants with little restraint.

From what I have watched, Fox News isn't too bad. Cavuto seems to try to look at things from both sides - accolades for that. The original post was about O'Reilly, Dobbs, Olberman, Beck, et al. Those are not "news" shows. They are ALL BIASED with a HUGE SLANT towards their particular viewpoint with a heapin' helpin' of SENSATIONALISM. So don't throw Hannity (and others), who never met a Republican whose "sheat" stank, in with any NEWS programming - same with Maddow (and others).

This morning's news says that they will take that out. Yes, it was in there. It didn't talk specifically about it, but the language left the door open. You should try reading the bill.
This morning's news says that they will take that out. Yes, it was in there. It didn't talk specifically about it, but the language left the door open. When the door is open, you know somebody will stick their foot in. It's happening right now in England, France, and Canada. The government is deciding whether it's financially sound to continue giving meds to old people.

From your link:
Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski said this week that Palin and other critics were not helping the GOP by throwing out false claims.
"Quite honestly, I'm so offended at that terminology, because it absolutely isn't" in the bill, Murkowski said. "There is no reason to gin up fear in the American public by saying things that are not included in the bill."
Georgia Sen. Johnny Isakson, a Republican who co-sponsored a similar measure in the Senate, said it was "nuts" to claim the bill encourages euthanasia.
"You're putting the authority in the individual rather than the government," Isakson said. "I don't know how that got so mixed up."
Blumenauer said the controversy was helping Democrats in a "perverse way."
