I know this is a shameless solicitation, but it's an important cause.
My mother died of pancreatic cancer 13 years ago at the young age of 68 after a short 6 month battle. My sister Pam was like a pit bull on fresh meat when it came to researching this disease and managing my mother's health care. As a result of her tenacity and vision and with the support of others who she had met through internet support groups, she founded the Pancreatic Cancer Network (http://www.pancan.org/) (PANCAN). This was the first national patients advocacy group for this deadly disease. I am enormously proud of her accomplishment and the work that she and others do
If you would like to offer a small donation to help fund much needed research in this area, my sister has set up a web page in honor of my mother who's birthday is coming up on 8/24.

Thank you for taking the time to read and if you donate, thank you again!
