View Full Version : Any one up for a ride through the Ozarks!

Hey all:
My wife & I are going to go for a ride this Friday 8/21/2009 through the Ozark national forest in NW Arkansas. We will be leaving from Cookson OK around 8:00am. This is a awesome ride with lots of twisties and great scenery. it is about a 250 mile round trip from Cookson Ok. Post back if interested in joinning us or pm me and I can give you my number.

I would love too, but I cant. My wife's family is from Springdale and that is some beautiful country out there. I am a new member and when I get back from deployment I plan on getting in touch with you to do some riding. Be safe and talk to you soon.

Sounds great, and thank you for your sevice and you stay as safe as possible. The fall is also another great time to ride because of the fall foliage. And welcome to the forum! Until then take care and may God bless.

What route you guys taking? I live in Stigler, OK which is about 60 miles from you. If I could talk the wife into it, we might meet you guys on the road. Should be getting my new seat in any day, so it would be a good ride to see how we're going to like em.

82 north out of cookson to 100 east to 59 south then lots of jogging through the national forest ending on 23 and then back to cookson from the south up through vian.

If you want to join us, we can just circle the other way and head south and meet in Vian.

Darn! I need to check in more often. I'd love to meet y'all and ride over to AR, but I've already planned a trip to Mt. Scott this weekend. That is a good route you have planned.:thumbup:
