I didnt see the TWT post today...as I was out all day. I decided to take a ride into the city and visit a friend. After that I decided to go to the Weiner Circle for a hotdog.

Here is the place I am talking about:

The hotdog joint is in Lincoln Park...Basically Clark and Diversey, about 6 blocks west of Diversey Harbor.

Used to be a place called,"Dicks Last Resort" downtown too..
They were known for their overly abusive waitresses...

I believe abusive language from the waitstaff:yikes: to patrons all began way back in the day with "Ed Debevic's" which I believe is still open!

I love that people totally exaggerate how bad the pot holes are downtown. Me and the guys have never had a problem down there wjen we have went, chicAgo roads are certainly better than 47, and parts of 25.

I go down there every week to visit my mom. She live in Bridgeport where i grew up. Same house same location. You get use to it the more you do it. The great thing about Chicago that I miss is the food. I have a lot of great places that I hit on a regular basis. You can sit outside on the stairs and 20 people will stop and talk to you. I also miss that.

Yes I have and it was good. There is another place on Archer called the Mexican Steak house which is very good also. Where do you live in Chicago? I go up there most of the time on Tuesdays my day off.

When I used to drill there with my reserve unit, we would go out to Ricobene's to get breaded steak sandwiches.

I actually live in the south burbs,right where I-80 & I-294 converge..
I work right by Oak Lawn Harley...
I worked for a while in the Bridgeport area,at about 32nd and Normal, before I got transferred...Lots of good places to eat down there...

Ricobenes, and the giant breaded steak sandwich, ever have one of those..?
