Just for all you NFL fanatics out there, Brett Favre is back and signed with the Minnesota Vikings for the 2009 season? So outa curiousity, what do y'all think about Favre coming outa retirement, returning back to the NFC and now wearin' a purple jersey? Should our Bears be weary of Minnesota's new pilot or not?:popcorn::popcorn:

I think more than you would have to worry about with Jackson. Does he open it up for them....really hard to say. Depends how the shoulder surgery went, if he forces interceptions like he started doing at the end of the season w/ New York. With the running game AND if he is able to play to 3/4 of his past level it could be interesting not just for the Bears but the NFC north in general. He's a gamer so no matter what you know it will be interesting. Be very interesting to see how he looks in the pre-season, won't see much time this Friday. One thing is for sure the media are running it up, down, sideways and inside out. We need Michael Vick to do something to take the spotlight off up here :yikes:

JMHO is that he should stay in retirement. There is nothing worse than an athlete who doesn't seem to know when to retire or stay in retirement. I would rather remember him as the great QB that he once was than the mediocre QB that his is today. Another point that I think the NFL is over looking, I think that BF is not able to adjust to a normal life....he needs serious help.
I also think that this points out how desperate the NFL is in need for skilled QBs.

Just my nickles worth.

I don't want to see him in a wheelchair, but would love to see him carted off the field.

...Wouldn't want either outcomes to happen to him, I guess it's just some people just don't wanna come to the realization that enough is enough already? Guess it would be like someone tellin you it's time to retire from 2-wheels:yikes: ...it would NEVER happen!

I think it would be better seeing him sitting on the bench after giving up 4 consecutive interceptions to the Bears!:p

Ya know, Favre went something like 22-10 against the Bears his carrer, ganted we had some lack luster years during this era, but still. For that I HATE the friggen guy. We got ours and it made it a little more tolerable in the later years, whipping them at Lovie North.

Thing is, the Vikings are a VERY solid team that needed one position filled. They might of just got it. An old Favre is still better than what they had and that will aid the Vikings in probably being the team for the Bears to really worry about this year. I know it is early, but with their running game, the Bears MUST sweep the Vikings if they want a shot at the playoffs this year......thats my $0.02.

I do find it very sad and strange that one of the NFL's best ever at the QB position is having a hard time letting it go. I agree 100% with Mark, there is something wrong with this guy. Go out a hero not a zero. Jordan should have made all these other pro atheletes see this. Favre was mediocore at best last year. I dont care how good you are, when age catches up with you, bad things happen.

In closing......SCREW THE PACKERS, SCREW THE VIKINGS AND MOST OF ALL SCREW YOU BRETT FAVRE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The man put $25,000,000 on the table. For that much money, most of us would sign a contract. That much money can buy a lot of pain killer. It'd buy over 1,000 bikes of your choice.

I was at the Packers game last Saturday, and there is definitely no love lost for him in Green Bay. I didn't hear one positive comment about the man, but there are still some fans wearing his jersey to the game.
