Do you guys carry puncture repair kits on road trips? I've heard that tyre fitters hate fixing a tyre where the goo has been used to fix a flat. So I was looking at the plug style from SuperCheap or eBay to throw in the bag and hopefully it will never be needed. I don't fancy riding on a plugged tyre but if it means getting the bike to the next town for proper repair I thought it may be worthwhile. Any suggestions or has anyone tried them on a motorcycle tyre?

G'day pmvtx i always carry the punch repair kit with me all the time the plugs worth there weight in gold take up bugger all room & you never have to see a tyre place & spend a couple of dollers extra they come with little canesters to keep you going no tools needed they come with the kit. Used them twice once on the car the misses could not beleave how easy it is no jacking up the car or taken the tyre off the bike.
Buy them from local bike or car shops eg suppercheap, autobarn kmart big w. Any way got to shoot off Paddy.

Hi I carry one of those plug kits from the motor bike shop and a two way push bike pump it does the trick and takes up no space. Had to use it once on a near new front tyre and left the plug in until the tyre wore out, I was worried about it at first then I forgot I had plugged it until I replaced the tyre. Hope this helps.

Ahh yeah Hanno you would have spokes and therefore tubes. So I'm guessing you could use the gooey stuff in your tubes??
Paddy & Hoda-rdr thanks for the advice, I wasn't sure if they could be used in a MC tyre. We have a big trip soon so I'll get hold of a kit just to be sure.... Paul
