It just blows me away the amount of harleys that have been sold in the last few years.Figures have dropped of course do to the eco.climate.There is plenty of people ouit there prepared to cough up for a one. Also a heap of second handies for sale as well.

I'd be interested to know if these figures are "bike out the door" figures or "signed on the dotted line" sales. If they are out the door then the Harley ones will be artificially high as it takes 9 months to get a harley.
Considering the Honda doesn't seem to advertise it's cruiser range in Australia (God knows why) it's not surprising that they didn't even rate. If you look at any Australian cruiser mag it's all V-star and 109s, Harley and now Victory. Maybe it will change with the launch of the Fury in Oz.

Hi I've been to some bike shows and Honda doesn't even bother turning up to display their models yet every other brand is there with bells on. Harley Davidson being the biggest turn out follow by Yamaha & Suzuki and all the other brands with smaller displays but still there all the same. I do a lot of travelling with my job and Harleys are everywhere every day and on weekends there are thousands of them. Down side soon they won't be a rare thing they'll be a common thing and people will be wanting something rare. Honda cruiser did they even make such a beast. Never seen one at the bike shows, didn't hear about their sales records etc etc etc.

G'day Folks
Honda didn't even have a stand at the Ulysses AGM @ Panthers earlier this year, all other brands were there with heaps of models to test ride.
A shame such a good product has piss poor promotion.
cheers

Howdy, I haven't been on here for a while and was just catching up. Interesting stats there on bike sales, you don't think its because every other brand has actually reduced their prices where Honda's have remained the same. A friend of mine purchased a Harley and it was $7000 less that what another friend purchased one for 2 years earlier and both were heritages and the cheaper one came with a larger engine and six speed box. The guys who owns the earlier model is really annoyed because his market value has dropped dramatically, this was of course the the Aussie dollar was pushing higher than it is now.
