just be careful how you post them on the general board or classifieds...assuming you do, consider selling them one at a time.
I can't post my key knobs there anymore because I'm a "Vendor". Apparently, my last few posts were removed for that reason.

Considering I seem to go through them every year and a half....black will be fine. Jon and Sam will be working on my bike next week or the week after. New front tire. Oil change, head light mod...and I'll have them check the horn. Sounds pretty funny. Was working just fine then....POOF it sound more like a squeeky duck now.:dontknow:

Sorry Z, still not sure which horn it is. If you posted a pic I can't see it, I'm at work. Do you have a link to the horn?
Thanks

Wow....I get the impression they might not hold up that good.....The Wing horn sounds larger than most car horns, so I think I'm good......:doorag:

Still on my 1st one. Coulee of years and strong. On the swing arm too. (knock wood).I might have to go with the swing arm mounting, too. I observed Jon mounting a Stebel for Jeff in that location. My first choice (location) was on the frame in front of the left floorboard, close to where the existing horn is. That might not provide enough 'shelter' from the weather, and inhibit longevity. :dontknow:

There used to be a "mounting" bracket available for these that fit the X.
Don't remember who had it, but I think it was over on the 1300 board.
Anyone here know anything about it? My stock horn died a long time ago. I should really do something about it, I'm going to break an ankle kicking cars!

I've heard of guys mounting them under the tank. That seems like a good way to keep it out of the weather.

Zebian,
Put me down for a chrome one if you still have one available. If not I will take black. I have one I haven't installed yet but I want both bikes to have one. Send me a PM with your availability and we can coordinate a time to meet. Thanks. 8)

I liked the swingarm position, but didn't like attaching it to the swingarm so I mounted it to the voltage regulator bolts. Works great and really throws the noise forward! I still have the stock horn with the stabel silonoid switched by the regular horn power wire.http://www.vtxoa.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=812&pictureid=8340

Finished mounting mine today, sounds super nice and crisp.
I still have 6 of them, if you missed on the first time let me know and I'll take care of you.
I got 2 metal brackets to mount the horn, one is going to BPARROT and the 2nd is free to a good home.
