Which HID kit did you use?
I have been thinking of getting one.

Thanks
John

For me, I will have to look up my receipt to determine the maker. I do know I purchased a bi-xenon type so I still retained a highbeam. Not that I ever use the highbeam. I used the internet and Monty to help narrow my research.

Contact NDAna on the board, he sells a kit. The price is good and light is great.

Get the 55w kit from ddmtuning.com. It's the best I've found...

Contact NDAna on the board, here's the info he sent me regarding this bright azz HID light:

Hi JonnZ-
Good to here from you and glad word id getting out. Here is the info pack

This is current info. They are at least 2.5x as bright as SilverStars and will last about 10x as long. I'm providing a 12 month replacement warranty from date of shipment. Guys that have them (WA VTX guys) are DELIGHTED and I'm pretty impressed with mine. Just making a couple of bucks and passing some good deals on to the folks on the board. Hope I don't get busted by Hal but he does not sell these anyway. Similar kits in a fancy box are going for $160 + shipping and they are just 35W where these are 50W kits.
Kits are $85; unless you are using PayPal and then they are $90 because of the fees charged. They come complete. You will need to figure a mount for the ballast as all bikes are set up a little different. Many are going under the triple tree, mine is on a fork leg and you could add some wire and put the ballast under a side cover or the seat.
PM me and I'll put another order together. Thes bulbs, because they are true HID (single element) will NOT work with H? modulators!

4300K 6000K H4 50W
kit include:
• 50W HID Bulbs;
• 50W HID Ballast;(100% waterproof Ballast)
• mounting brackets;
• Zip ties;
• Hi/Lo relay
• Wiring Harness

1. UV cut glass for headlight protection
2. Bulbs Also fit some existing rubber covers, many bulbs on market do not fit NA on the X
3. Bulbs accommodated by all headlight housings (suitable for all vehicles: car, motorcycle, truck)
4. Bulbs move forward and backward for 4 mm, and up and down for 1.0mm to produce hi/lo beam
5. Tested by Continuously switching 30000 times with light on
6. Over / low-current protection,Voltage output overload / low protection,Short circuit protection
7. Shock-resistant water-resistant dust-resistant
8. All the kits that are being sold have gone through rigorous testing at the manufacturers factory as follows:
• Six hours continuous working aging test.
• Connection circuit protection test.
• Short circuit protection test.
• Lack of voltage protection test.
• Over voltage protection test.
• Flash light concussion test.
• Shock resistance capability test.
• Cold/warm start up test.
• Polarity protection test
• Anti-jamming test

Here is a quote from IHOP

I had a chance to ride after dark tonight, man, that HID light is awesome!

Talk about light output, holy smokes, it puts out a very clear, slightly blue light. The beam is adjusted just fine, I don't think it needs to be tweaked at all. High beam switch works fine too...

It takes a few seconds to get to full brightness after you turn the key on, but once its there you can see great

The HID that much brighter?

I know I had troubles when I first bought my bike but the beam was set way to high. After adjusting it down to the states recommended height. It made a big difference. Seems like the headlight on my motorcycle is brighter than the headlights on my truck so I never really questioned it.

...Yep, HID lighting is definately brighter. Took a ride up north via 90 west late last night to test out the light show and with this HID light, the crisp beam was hitting ALL 3 lanes of the highway, so you could only imagine how well lit my line of vision was when I was on a rural tree-lined roadway ...unbelievable! When it comes to riding after dark on a road like Algonquin road you can really appreciate the power of the HID lighting up what's possibly ahead of you like deer(s) :yikes: ...Definately a must-have item for our scoots!

...Yep, tell me about it! :yikes: money is definately low on the totem pole for me as well. Hope things get better financially for us soon!!! Definately keep this HID upgrade on backburner as a future mod. As I mentioned earlier, when you're ready, contact: NDAna on the board. He's the go-to guy for this HID light kit. :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:
