I'm selling my 2006 Honda VTX1300R, blue. Only selling because I'm recently engaged and have a wedding to save up for now. This bike has been incredible and has LOTS of life still left in it. It has only 7k all highway miles and has had all maintenance performed. Was switched to AMSoil filter and full synthetic oil at 300 miles.

LOTS of pictures and descriptions located here:
http://s738.photobucket.com/albums/xx26/WPIDave/?action=view&current=AuxLightsAndCobraFatties.jpg

The bike includes the following:

* 1 more year of Honda warranty and Honda roadside assistance!!
* Kuryakyn Grand Throw-Over Saddlebags
* COB-026160 - Cobra chrome saddlebag supports
* COB-025660 - Cobra short sissy bar with pad (14")
* Cobra formed luggage rack
* Taillight cover
* Jett-Ink slanted license plate bracket
* Chris Chrome license plate frame
* Custom matching key knob
* Custom memory foam modded seat from Mean City Cycles (BadX). Includes an incredible seat heater built into it with switch on side of seat. Note the custom flame stitching in blue thread which matches the paint on the bike.
* Auxilliary Optronics driving lights hooked up to highbeam switch with an AutoSwitch
* Cobra Fatty highway bars/engine guards.
* Cruise-N-Comfort driver's backrest is amazing for eliminating lower back pain. Makes it feel like you are sitting in a lazyboy!
* Waterproof (with cover) 12V Powerlet outlet installed in right side neck cover. Currently used for GPS. Has quick disconnect in case neck cover needs to be removed.
* RAM Mount GPS mount with *WEATHERPROOF* AquaBox for holding GPS.
* Marine grade fuse block (Blue Sea 5025) which includes cover (not shown) under left side cover. Custom aluminum relay holder fastened to top of battery cover. All relays are velcroed to holder. All fuses AND relays are labeled. All wires are soldered (not just crimped!) and have heat shrink tubing to weather proof. The fuse block is velcroed (industrial stuff) to the toolbox and will not fall off. Toolbox can still be used, but can be a bit tough to access.
* Custom matching key knob
* Shifter heel and toe covers
* Fuel valve cover and lever
* Choke knob cover
* Custom speedo faceplate (Webslinger)
* Speedo backlighting replaced with blue LEDs (BornOnFire). (Only 7226 miles!)
* Rear (weatherproof!) 12V outlet. Great for running a cord into the saddlebag for charging a phone/camera/etc.
* Scootworks Phat Riser IIs. These risers are amazing! Make longs rides SOO much more comfortable.
* Stebel air horn mounted to swingarm with PepsX bracket. This is one LOUD horn! Has saved my butt a couple times.
* KUR-8849 - Kuryakyn Brake Pedal Pad
* MotionPro stainless steel throttle cables, clutch cable, plus cable luber
* NAT-557823 - National Cycle mounting kit for Switchblade windshields
* National Cycle SWITCHBLADE CHOPPED CLEAR (N21411)
* Water bottle holder
* K&N air filter plus cleaning kit (new in box)
* Honda rubber shock bushings replaced with McMaster-Carr nylon bushings

Here are some *FREE* bonus items that I'm throwing into the purchase:

* TomTom XL 330 GPS with carry case, box, instructions, and all accessories
* Amsoil full synthetic oil and filter for *two more* complete oil changes! Plus crush washers and filter wrench
* Service manual and owner's manual and common service manual
* Dowco EZ-ZIP XXL cover with carry bag and compression stuff sack
* Cycle House VTX patches
* Kuryakyn straps with adjustable soft sleeves (KUR-966)
* Couple spare plastic radiator grille(s)
* Extra dash (in case you wanted to paint one)
* McCuff (http://www.mccuff.com/)

Here are some combo deals. I will sell these at the indicated *much reduced* price to the person buying the bike. If you don't want them, I will end up selling them separately and not at the discounted price:

* $35 - Deltran SuperSmart Battery Tender Plus 12-Volt 1.25 AMP Battery Charger (the pigtail is already installed and the plug is hidden under the right side cover!)
* $75 - Hick Custom Machines Works (Cyberhick) Possum Pusher (brand new! unpainted! never installed!)
* $50 - HarborFreight Motorcycle lift with extended warranty plan
* $40 - HarborFreight Motorcycle stand
* $75 - NAT-557877 - National Cycle Shorty windshield
* $65 - COY-072 - Coyote Hot Rods new gas cap hinge (brand new! never installed!)
* $65 - Irate customs radiator grille cover
* $15 - "VTX parking only" sign
* $300 - Harley batwing inner and outer fairings
* $800 - RubberMaid Bix Max Ultra Shed (see pics for detailed description); normally $1000 from Home Depot (only retailer). Only used for a few months. Like new. Zero maintenance shed that looks and functions amazing!

Asking $9,550. Bike is located in Central Massachusetts. I'm willing to meet up within a couple hours ride, but you will have to pick up all accessories and combo buys. If further than a couple hours away, you will have to make the appropriate arrangements. If you'd like additional info or pictures, please contact me.

EDIT: I'd like to see this bike get ridden this fall. There is still plenty of riding season left. I'll take $300 off my asking price right now. So asking $9250. Reasonable offers always welcome.

EDIT: Dropping another $250 off the price to make her an even $9000. Reasonable offers always welcome.

Man that sure is a good lookin ride. Iknow you have alot in it but that sure is steep. Might be better off parting it out.

Thanks for the compliment :) . It might seem a bit steep, but if you consider what it's worth (and people on here have sold them for) and then just how much stuff is included and what I'm throwing in, along with the low miles, it's actually quite a deal, and a loss for me. Some of the huge value in this is that she's put together just right and ready to go on long hauls. I'll have her fully gassed up, GPS powered on, a drink in the drink holder... :doorag:

Oh yeah, also includes a McCuff.

Nice Ride I hope you get what you were asking but I have to agree you would get it easier by parting it out. Been trying to sell mine as well I haven't even got a 10k offer. Good luck with the sale!!!!!!!!

DON'T SELL IT!!! Keep it because wedding or not, you'll regret giving it up later. Trust me. Just have to find a way to have her compromise a $10,000 less expensive wedding!:smile: Also, no disrespect intended and I hope I'm wrong but I doubt you'll get what your asking for it. KEEP IT !!!!!

I don't see in his ad where he asked for anyones advice on how much to sell it for.I don't know why you guys can't just leave an ad along. If you want to buy it, buy it, if you don't tell the guy nice bike and leave it at that, if you must comment. All you're doing is screwing the guy over that is trying to sell his stuff. Sly

Thanks Sly.

I really do feel that the price is fair given all that is included, including warranty, low mileage, etc. I did a thorough job of researching what price I should be asking. Having said that, I do say "asking 9550"; I'm willing to listen to *reasonable* offers. And as always, questions are welcome.

How about ..... maybe, just maybe some people have experience buying/trading/selling bikes and may want to help the poster realize a higher return on his investment?

In reality EVERY COMMENT - good.bad. or ugly helps the OP out as it BOUNCES HIS AD to the TOP!

Just like mine will.

I could tell him how to get maybe even more than he is asking ... but I do not want to " screw him over " !!!!!

;)

I agree, it's hard to find a buyer that appreciates all the stuff you put on a bike and is willing to pay for it. Parting it out would surely get more, but how much is your time worth? Planning a wedding while trying to sell bike doo dads on the internet probably doesn't mix all that well.
Fiddling around with that stuff...wasting 3 or 4 weekends taking stuff off the bike, putting stock stuff back on...I duno...again what's your time worth?
Good luck on the bike and good luck on the wedding! 31 years ago was my wedding, 4 months on the VTX.

I paid 9500 for my 2005 1300R back then, only came with a windshield and sissy bar and 1200 miles... I wish I had that money now.

If you can find someone who has cash it will sell. the problem lies when trying to get a loan on it. The banks dont care what all you have put on it. They go by the blue book. If it is only valued at 8k thats all a person can get a loan on it for.

Keep the bike, you will regret selling it later. It is obvious from the bike and your comments that you enjoy this motorcycle. I sold my Honda V65 when I got married 10 years ago, and regretted it within 2 years. A few years later I bought my first VTX. I'm back in the saddle to stay.

Dave,

This is just a terrible time to sell. I buy and sell bikes. Im getting 99-03 750/1100 Shadows with under 10k on them for as little as $2500. I just missed out on a 06 1300R for $4000. That was a stock bike with a backrest and windshield, 3200 miles.

Honda is still giving away 1300/1800's with very easy financing.

A new 1800 can be had for as little as $8500.

Try and ride it out until Spring if you have to sell.
