Finally got to take the RSV out on a good run.
Took her up to western NC, you know the area :roll:
I'm impressed how well this bike handles. The handling on a wing is well documented but I've heard few comments about how well the Venture handles. Why, I don't know. I'm taking curves easly 10 mph faster than I've ever taken them on the X and I havent scrapped a board yet. Meaning there is alot more there. It seems to know where I want to go and just goes there.
3rd gear. What a wonderfull gear. It pulls strong from about 30 mph all the way to 70 mph. No kidding.
5th gear. It's a true over drive. Forget about it unless your on the interstate doing 70 or more. Im sure I'll never look for 6th on this bike.

She also asked if I would have bought it if I had been offerd a test ride. My answer was, hell yea!
Bottom line is, If your thinking about a touring bike, and for whatever reason a wing isnt for you (my reason is arthritic knees) take a good look at the RSV.
The X is gona turn into a solo, daily rider. Still love her. She aint going nowhere.
