Here's a link that shows the tach http://www.directlineparts.com/product.asp?pid=773&str=1 (http://www.directlineparts.com/product.asp?pid=773&str=1) and picture below showing it when it was mounted on my bike before it was totaled by a cager who hit me from behind at 40mph!
This is a nice looking tach that goes for $300 new. I'm asking $150 shipped. I had it on my bike for about 6 months before it met it's early demise. The tach works great and installation instructions are included.
Please send me a PM if you are interested.
Thanks, Jeff

like the look of that, what kind of bars do you have on your c? I have a 2005 and want to look and ride kind of like that. was it good for longer rides and did you sacrafice anything in handling?
thanks

That was an 03C with R bars. It's damn near impossible to put R bars on an 05C because in 04 Honda changed brake hoses so the Valk brake hose which was part of the mod would no longer work. However there is a very nice work around. You can install a Baron's X-bar with no changes to hoses or cables. That is what I did to my 05F and the fit and comfort are pretty darn close to the R bars. There is a small index stub on the left turn signal/horn housing that needs to be drumeled off because there isn't an index hole for it on the X bar. The good thing is that this allows a little bit of adjustabillity for your thumb position on the turn signal and horn switch. Other than that minor thing there are no surprises at all when installing the X bar. There are no sacrifices in handling, only gains in comfort and ergonomics and the pain between your shoulderblades will disappear. Also my Rivco tach would look really good on your bike!

Got your message - do you still have the windshield? I am interested - think the Honda piece looks better than the Memphis.
My C has a digital tach (look like cellphone bars) with the digital speedo on the tank - no idiot lights. No fuel guage, either.
