howdy

how is the road going from roosevelt to 260? is it good for a tourer?

i am not much into dirt ... unless i am in the jeep...

288, Roosevelt to 260...not familiar with that. 260 goes from Globe to showlow doesn't it? 188 goes from Globe, past Roosevelt, to 87. That's a nice ride. Stop at the top of the mountain for a view.

there is a sign for 288 heading north just before the lake (and the turn in for the resort) when heading up from globe...form the maps and write-up i cannot tell the road quality so i reckon i will go exploring...likely this upcoming saturday

I think that goes to Young. May not be paved all the way. Or, it's the 4 wheeler road that goes from Apache Jct. to the lake. Don't take that one.

88 is from apache to the lake...and we are considering a roll up there this weekend as it looks to be a bit iffy up show low way...sad to say but it may be time to start exploring south again...but at least i got to see the aspens change this year...up 191 through egar...twice...

any suggestions for south and west? or east?

We do a memorial run to Alpine every year for a departed Tucson Xer. Stay at a friends cabin in Greer. That's some nice country to ride.
