Allright for all of us who just can't drop everything and go to the Dragon for 4 or 5 days when we feel like it... here's a great ride I did yesterday and I'm doing it again next Sunday the 18 th rain or shine.
I took the back roads from Doylestown to the Lebanon/Lancaster area through Berks County. It's about 100 miles one way, plus getting purposly lost in the country. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. Mostly35/45 to 55. 724 follows the schulkill river. I am going to jump off in and around Sinking Springs/ Meyerstown to just get lost on back roads and look at the beautifull farms and scenery.
this is going to be an all day ride, so meet me at Zoto"s Diner on rt 309 and county line road in Hatfield at 9:15 Kick Stands up. If you want brakefast at Zoto's get there earlier. Get gas before getting to Zoto's I expect to be back to the starting point by 6pm or so, but, you can break away at any time if you wish.
This is a me-ander easy going but, steady we'll stop like every hour and a half. It's gonna be awesomely relaxing.

What's the projected route from your starting point? Rte.724 is less than 10 minutes away from me so I can be waiting there for you.
Just a thought - check out rte.568 to rte.272 to rte.897 some nice country roads that will take you around the same areas you wanted to go.

Just watched fox weather. Gonna have to cancel.
they are saying rain, rain, rain, mixed with snow, strong northeast wind on Sunday. Showers are one thing but, the plague of locusts is another.
Let's try for next Sunday:dontknow:. 10-25-09 Oh Well the Eagles are playing and then the Phils maybe a blessing in diguise ... for me anyway:agree:.

Try for next weekend. If it is raining it screws up the wifes plans and then by process of elimination, mine.
