My brother-in-law and myself will be renting some cycles in Vegas in November....:doorag: I would like to ride out to Hoover Dam and Lake Mead but not sure if there is any other places outside Vegas that we should go...:dontknow: We will have the bikes for about 6-7 hours so we can't go too far. Anyone riden out there and have any suggestions?
Also, we are planning on renting from EagleRider so we can get some Honda's... I'm afraid I don't want to ride on a air cooled Harley in the Vegas heat...nojoke Any other suggested rental places we should look at?

I sent a buddy of mine an email who lives and rides in Vegas. I'll let you know what he says. Probably not until monday at this point though...

Rob,
I have a good 3 weeks before we go out there, so no big rush.
Thanks...

I was just there on Labor Day. Red Rock Canyon is a great ride (although not very far from Vegas).
Valley of Fire State Park is north of the Dam and some of the best riding in the area. Definitely check that out.

Crux88,
Thanks for the suggested riding area. Could you let me know where yo rented your bike from? Just looking at options.
Thanks...

Here is what he said:
No need to worry about the cooling in November. With only about 6-7 hours, the scenery is limited. To the dam and back will eat up a good 2 hours. If they check the map, they could head north after the dam and have time to hit Valley of Fire, also. Could also hit Red Rock Canyon. That would take about an hour or so. Eagle Rider is probably the best bet for rentals. There are a few others, but they're gonna be about the cheapest. Maybe check Las Vegas Harley Davidson, also.

Rob,
I did some web surfing over the weekend and found the below links. It was nice to see that Crux88 and your contact recommended a few of these.

Yep, just hope I can win some at the table to off set the $185 cost of the rental. Should be a fun trip. Going to the KQ morning show broadcast on Thur & Fri. Riding Sat. Then taking the Red-Eye back to MPLS so I go tailgating before the Viking vs. Lions game.
Very fun filled extended weekend...
