Sorry brother, I get my foot cut on this Wednesday and won't be doing much of anything, let alone any riding until at least Jan/Feb.

Was part of a funeral procession last Friday for another retired Marine that passed away on the 12th. The family requested riders to escort him from Richlands to the Veterans cemetary, and it was an awesome and humbling experience. Prayers out to the Hodges family, and Semper Fi....

Are y'all members of the PGR? Was thinking of checking it out myself.

Take it from me, I attended my first mission tonight at the wake/visitation. The group was absolutely fantastic and made me proud to be a part of the PGR. Although I have claimed membership for over 3 years, this was my first (of many to come) opportunity to participate.

Tomorrow is the family escort and the memorial ride from the funeral home to the Montford Point Cemetary. I look forward to it.

All are welcome.

Rode by the cemetery about 2:30 yesterday, only saw a few bikes still there. Think I saw you coming off the bypass and turning on to 17 south.

Tracy,
I hate myself for missing this, but there was no out of my meeting in Seymour Johnson.
As it turns out, Jay was a good friend of my father. They both retired from the Marines around the same time and attended the same church. I had met him in church on more than a few occasions but the name never clicked until I spoke with my dad this morning. (Jesse painted a helmet for his granddaughter)
My father said the funeral was very nice and that all the motorcycles and the PGR made it very special for all the family and friends.

Count on the family escort was 10 bikes, total 81 bikes rolled around the family and Jay to the NC National Cemetary.

Made me very proud to be a part of it but the day was definetly all about the family.

I saw Rich (Axcellent) out there on the ride too and got to talk to him briefly after the ceremony. Nice to catch him around again.
