Just purchased a 2003 VTX 1800c the beginning of August. :D I had a vlx deluxe. Went to Lancaster Honda for rain suit and saw the 1800c's were $4000.00 off.

Took one for a test ride and it was fantastic. So well balanced and power when needed. Went and talked to the boss at home and was firm that I wanted it. Then after a lot of begging and crying she gave the ok.

If any of you guys are ever anywhere near Lancaster some weekend, I would like to meet up.

I saw the posts about going to the beach. Would like to meet up to do that, but can't get off work.

Hi VMA224.
Welcome to the "X" world!
Been to Lancaster Honda a couple times, drive by it on 283 often.
I live and work in Southern Chester County, so we're "neighbors".
Up until 2 years ago I worked in our Quarryville office for 2 years. I work for the natural gas side of your electric power supplier.

Stay tuned to this site for future rides. I'm sure there will be some that you can make. I was in Lancaster Co this morning for breakfast (Hershey Farm restaurant on 896 near Strasburg).

Hope to see more posts from you....again, welcome.

Welcome VMA224.

I'll tell you what I do for a living later but it has to do with Rags. New and Used.

Enjoy riding up to Intercourse and that general area. I live very close to VTX180002r (or what ever his name is).

Thanks for the replies 02vtx18r and Ragman. VMA224 was the A6 squaderon I was in in the USMC from '77 - '81. Peacefull time when I was in. I was a Powerplant Mechanic. Then I got out and became a welder for a few years and then got into Computers. Been in computers now for about 16 - 17 years.

How far are you from the Lancaster area. If you are out and about this weekend maybe we can hook up somewhere for a meet.

I didn't see the post on Hershey Farms Restaurant until around 11:30am, after coming home from a ride. I was probably about 15 minutes from there at around 9:00am.

I went on an organized ride this past Saturday in York. It was for Prostate Cancer. There was about 150 - 200 bikes that showed up, but then groups of riders started going on their own. The organizers gave directions, a whole page full. I guess they were to be posted on the windshield while you ride. Well, lucky enough I hooked up with a few other riders that knew where they were going. We rode about 60 miles on back rodes in York. It was hot as he!!. Couldn't follow that route again to save my life. But then there was all you could eat at the end. Hamburgers, hotdogs, salads, drinks. There was also all kinds of stands on health issues. It was pretty cool. Then a fun ride home.

Well, enough babbling. Looking forward to meeting you guys.

Bob
