I'm in the process of finding someone to paint my bike. I've Googled for custom painters in Michigan and found two. Emailed both of them with my ideas and am waiting for their response.

Originally I was thinking about getting a new bike, but don't want to start all over again to basically have the same thing I already have. So I thought a paint job would set my bike appart from the rest. Besides, the tank seam has to go, and for only a couple thousand it'll be history. A new bike would cost me, after the sale of my bike, about 8 to 10 grand.

So my question is, how many miles do you think these Honda engines can handle. I'm hoping, 100,000+.

ps. You guys know any good custom painters.

Don't know any custom painters -- sorry. There are a couple painters on here -- if you can't find anyone local to do it.

But keep us posted on the progress. I'm thinking of making that leap next winter. :)

Rickie,
Where did you get those bags? I am looking for hard bags also, just don't want to spend $1300 for Beetle bags.

My bags are made by Champion Sidecar and they cost more than the Corbins. I'm sorry...

Check out their site for more details.
