Poker Run Fundraiser - Delaware Co

Hey All,

My wife works in administration at Riddle Memorial Hospital, in Media, Delaware County, PA. The hospital is taking part in a poker run fundraiser event for Saturday, October 16th. The event is co-sponsored by Hannum's Harley-Davidson (naturally). I don't know all of the details, as yet. There are supposed to be some good prizes involved. If you are interested and available, circle the date on your calender, and let me know. I will provide the details as I get them, to anyone who's interested. Maybe we can get a VTX contingent to participate! I am also trying to get a police team together.

Ragman, our riding buddy Dennis is the one who is helping to put this together for the hospital. The late notice is not his fault.

Hi Bob,

Thanks for your interest. I'll post details as soon as they become available. The event is actually being planned by the local Harley shop, for liability reasons. It is a fundraiser for the hospital, however.

Media is about 15 miles southwest of center city Philadelphia.

I understand when duty calls. At least mark it on your calender, if case you are homebound.

Hey All,

Well, here it is, 10 days before our poker run benefit. We still have not received ANY details from the sponsoring dealer (Hannum's H-D). There has been no advertising whatsoever. The people in the events departmant of the hospital are FUMING. I think this event might be a bust for this year. The hospital might just tell them to scrap it, and try for a great event next year. If anything happens, I will pass the info along. I had a buddy invite me to CT for that weekend. I wasn't going to go because of this benefit event. Now, I think I might take him up on it, no matter what happens.

Hey Gus, thanks for the update. Too bad, I was looking forward to meeting some of you guys, but there will always be more rides even if it is next year. Althought I am becoming a warm weather person and I am sure next weekend will be a cool one.

I was out riding early this morning and just couldn't get comfortable even with all the warm weather gear.

Now I am going to get the VTX Vacuum out an and Vacuum the house. :mcrider:
