Met Vern today in the Giant parking lot. He has a beautiful 04 1800C. His Bubs sound great.

Vern...If you get on this board, give us a holler. Maybe we can get together for a ride. By the way...Take a look at the string concerning the poker run on Oct 16th. It's to far away for me to commit but maybe we can all meet then.

Ragman,

We should make you our VTX recruiter. Since you said that Vern had a "beautiful" bike, it must've been a black one.

I hope that you were able to sell him a good supply of rags. He needs to keep that new bike clean!

Gus

He did have a shinney new black C. Are there any other colors?

Hmmmm. If my physics memory is correct, the color black is defined as the inability to reflect any color. So, therefore, the color black is the ABSENSE of color. To answer Ragman's question of "Are there any other colors?", the answer therefore is "yes, there are ALL the colors".....
Especially CANDY RED !!!

Hope you guys have been OK. Haven't seen any Eastern PA X rides posted. This past Saturday Pat & I rode to Planet Honda in the early AM for their free catered breakfast (it was GREAT!), and I had the PA inspection done on my bike while I was there. I bought a new pair of leather riding pants for 1/2 price....waist size 36 (I used to wear size 44 waist!!!). Then, Pat & I went to the Eastern PA Retreads breakfast in Strasburg on Sunday morning, then rode down to Bel Air, MD to visit our son. Cloudy, but nice day for a ride. Put about 200 miles on during the weekend. Not a lot of riding, but we had fun anyway.

I'm tied up the next 2 weekends (Oct 2, Oct 9, Oct 10), but still keeping Oct 16 open for the Poker Run. Let us know, Capt.

Ride Safe.....Steve

Hey 1800vtx02(or what ever your name is). Have not seen you in a long time. I rode to work all last week...it was great. My bike has never been so dirty. It is so dirty, it is starting to reflect color. I may need to tap into my inventory of new and unused rags.

I was at Planet Honda as well on Saturday. I stopped in at about 09:30 on my way to school. Almost bought a HJC flip face but I'm not sure if that is the way to go.

I'm over due for a valve adjustment (I have about 11,000 now). They want a little over $200 for the valve adjustment alone. Have you done yours yet? I guess I'll need to pay it. I would do it myself but I lost my hammer.

Hi Ragman. Haven't seen or heard you ride by lately, so I figured you already put your ride up for the winter (ha-ha).

9:30? Heck we were already almost home by then. That was LATE!

No, haven't done my 8000 mile valve adjust yet. But tell you what, I have a 5 pound hammer that I'll let you use as long as you let me WATCH! If that ain't big enuf, I have an 8 pounder, too, with a nice long handle.....

And if your X is as dirty as I imagine it is, you won't have to worry about reflections scaring you as you swing that big ole hammer at the engine heads......I just GOTTA watch that!

Stop by so I can see your pegs. I'm thinking of getting full size passenger floor boards and moving my Kuryakyn Dually ISO-pegs to my engine guards for use as my highway pegs....what do you think?

Waaaaaaaaaah! I'm startin to feel like a damn mushroom over here! I'm gettin sh** all the time and I never find out about rides til AFTER they happen!

Geeeeeeeez. . .just 'cause my bike aint BLACK (which is void of color as was stated earlier) and I already wrecked one Honda (and got a nice $12,000 helicopter ride for it) I'm gettin outcast!

Geeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeez. . (and yes, I'm kidding!)

Hopefully I'll find out about these things SOONER! I'll let you guys know how the easy riders show is! (Prolly have to go on four wheels since the weather is gonna SUCK!)

Gettin my Bubs next week too. . .I hope!

Later!
